Fantastic location on the Appia Antica, which I recommend for the refined, quiet and tastefully furnished environment. The food is generally of excellent quality with excellent dishes. I really enjoyed the grilled artichoke, well cooked and tasty. The promo with cuttlefish ragù is less interesting and is a little unseasoned. Overall a valid experience that I recommend to those who don't like confusion.

Posto unico in tutto. Atmosfera romantica, servizio attento ma un po' lento. Qualità del cibo eccellente. Ottima carta dei vini. È sempre un posto in cui torno volentieri.

A real find … we had stumbled upon it years ago, and were delighted to return. A surprisingly elegant restaurant, dating from 1804 (!), built on top of ancient ruins, right on the Appian Way, steps away from the catacombs of St. Sebastian and Callixtus. Lovely food, lovely experience, kind staff. We had a cheese course (delicious, best blue cheese I've ever had), octopus, a simple pasta with tomatoes and parmesan (absolutely superb), and lamb, with several glasses of pleasant wine, Zuppa Inglese for dessert (probably not my favorite), and coffee. We had reservations for 1 pm, there were few people there, but by 2:30 it was full of Italian families. Inside was warm and cosy with a fire going in the fireplace, but it was warm enough that some people were sitting outside. Highly recommended.

Posto davvero suggestivo, sia gli interni che il meraviglioso giardino esterno, per una location davvero raffinata nel cuore dell'Appia Antica. Pietanze all'altezza della location, abbiamo mangiato davvero bene con servizio impeccabile. Non so dire il costo perché non ho pagato il conto, ma immagino piuttosto caro in linea con il livello del ristorante.
