Quite a few stalls were closed when I visited, so it was lacking that hectic vibe that a true fresh food market has, but I managed to get great lunch options: pasta with brodo from one place and eggplant parmigiana piadina (made as the closed version, can’t remember the name) and both were so tasty! 😋

A closed market in Bologna where one can get almost anything! Fresh fruits and vegetables! Cold meats and cheeses as well as basic pastries! A pleasant surprise!

Get your vegetables here, not at the chain grocery stores. Fresher, more flavorful and longer lasting. Also good cheese shop, butcher, deli, and fresh pasta stands.

18/03/2024: We stumbled across il Tari whilst rambling through Bologna. A minute or two away from the hustle and bustle, this place was one of the highlights of the weekend. Warm welcome, great hospitality and food. Lovely.
03/02/2024: Un posto che rimarrà nel cuore! Super consigliato! L’accoglienza della titolare è da 10 e lode, gentilissima e mette i commensali così a proprio da sentirsi come a casa. La cucina spazia dai piatti tipici della cucina bolognese a spettacolari piatti della cucina mediterranea, sono incluse le buonissime pizze cotte nel forno a legna, per non parlare dei favolosi dolci della casa. Locale rilassante perché defilato dal caos turistico, ma in pieno centro. Prezzi più che onesti. Complimenti!!
