Very good food. Ravioli in peanut sauce is delicious. Tiramisu is the best of the three I have eaten. Good wine. Very nice service.

Am not in the habit of writing negative reviews but we just didn’t have a very good experience here. Service was… definitely not with a smile, though I noticed other servers seemed much happier than ours? Mediocre food for non mediocre prices. Skip this place, there’s better in Bergamo.

After a lovely walk around the upper city my girlfriend and I decided to go for lunch and spotted this lovely place so we decided to give it a try. Overall it was a great experience. The decor inside was with a traditional old school vibe . The staff were very pleasant and helped us when we did not understand Italian words. The food was brilliant. We ordered the lasagna and osso buca for lunch and it was delicious. The lasagna had an amazing filling and not too much bechamel which is good. The ossa buco was melt in the mouth. The veal was excellent and the sauce was fantastic too .For dessert we went for the tirimasu which was very decadent but was not overpowered by coffee. If you are in the upper city then definitely head here to have a fantastic experience of Bergamo cooking.

We wanted a light lunch on our last day in Bergamo. I liked the look of the place (I'm a sucker for a red and white checked tablecloth :-) so we went and sat in the little courtyard garden at the back as, albeit being October, the weather was fine. We ordered the casoncelli (typical Begamascan meat filled ravioli-type pasta served with butter, sage and pancetta) and I can honestly say they were some of the best I've eaten, and I've have many in my time. With a bottle of local red wine, it was a lovely end to our stay in Bergamo.
