You eat well, but paying 6 euros for a basket of bread and 12 euros for two beers in a 33cm bottle is really unpleasant.

Absolutely fantastic traditional restaurant. We were recommended this “hidden” place a little off the beaten path pretty close to the Pantheon. I celebrated my birthday here, but I’m sure they give and saw they give everyone exceptional food and service to everyone. It doesn’t look like much from the main road which is more of an alley and it’s up a small blind alley from that main road. They started us out with different breads and olive oil, which is rather common in all the Roman restaurants. We had 2 different appetizers, which were good. But the star of the evenings were they pastas, by far the best pastas we had on our 6 days in Rome! They came out one at a time and served an extra smaller portion to each of us. My wife had a fantastic traditional Carbonara and I had the pasta arrabiata with eggplant, spicey but not too spicey. Fabulous. Then we shared the Rosmarin pork Tenderloin with oven baked/fried potatoes. We finished our dinner with tiramisu and hot chocolate cake, even with a birthday candle. We had great white wines with the pastas. Dessert wines, limoncello, beer and water. Would I recommend this place, most definetly and I will be back. Thanks for the great service Bena!!!!!!

Good service, nice atmosphere but the food not so great. We tried a few other restaurants on the area and they served better quality in the same price range.

I recently went to Osteria del Sostegno in the center of Rome and I have to say it was an amazing experience. The food was exceptional, with typical Roman dishes prepared with skill and authentic flavour. But what really made my experience special was the incredibly welcoming and kind staff. They made me/us feel at home, with attentive and friendly service that made my visit unforgettable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic dining experience and a warm welcome in Rome.

Excellent tavern. All very good with Roman and particular flavours. Wonderful chicken and artichoke. Very friendly service even if the tavern is not touristy and tends more to a medium-high level. Very nice and contained environment. Absolutely coming back.

I’ve been coming back here for the last 10 years every time I visit Rome and it’s impressive, refreshing and inspiring how good they are. Every single night I visit I have the feeling that they are working for this night alone. The food is immaculate, the service is top, the wine list is impressive….and yet the location is unpretentious as always. This is my idea of Rome in a nutshell. Huge respect to the whole team for the consistency in professionalism and excellence over such a long time!

We first came here nearly twenty years ago. And we’re delighted to see it open for lunch. And the lunch was every bit as good as it has always been. Delicious pasta dishes - their cacio e Pepe is stunning - we’re followed by lamb and veal. This restaurant is rightly very popular and the atmosphere and setting continue to be as delightful as ever. Absolutely love it after a morning of walking and walking. A firm favourite. The staff couldn’t be more friendly and accommodating. Really love this place
