One of the best restaurants during our stay in Romain, very warm welcome (the restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel a stone's throw away), a simple menu and very good dishes, it seems that Italian restaurants serve quite small portions (observation overall of all the restaurants visited in 5 days) that leaves room for dessert but even without being big eaters we were surprised by the smallness of the portions (excluding pasta) on the other hand the generosity in the size of the glasses of wine (easily double that of us) compensates for the often salty bill despite everything...

Great atmosphere, excellent wine & divine food. We had the Bucatini Amatriciana, the Tonnarelli cacio romano e pepe & the Carciofi alla Romana along with a bottle of Primitivo red wine. It was the first Italian food I've ever had in Italy & nothing will ever taste the same. We absolutely loved it.

The ambiance of Osteria Oliva added to the charm, with its elegant yet cozy decor that made us lose track of time as we savored every moment of our dinner. It’s rare to find a place that combines exceptional food, service, and atmosphere so seamlessly. Osteria Oliva does just that, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the best of Rome’s dining scene. Our heartfelt thanks to Giulio and the entire team for an unforgettable evening. We’ll certainly be returning on our next trip to Rome.

A quick lunch during a visit to the capital; Found the place due to the excellent review rating, but unfortunately a big disappointment. Price higher than the Roman average for two Carbonare, which were more of a 'tourist catcher' than real Carbonare. The place is very welcoming, a surprising location, but in addition to the mediocrity of the food (at least the Carbonara, perhaps the rest is delicious), the lack of professionalism of one of the staff also comes into play, who when asked for bread, after having waited 10 minutes, if he comes out with a terrible sentence because having seen him caught up in his distraction, I ask one of his colleagues (at least she is very kind) for the bread; the girl soon brings the bread and I finally start lunch. (That's right, I accompany bread with pasta). Nothing serious of course, but eating out should be a good time, without any pain in the ass from staff thinking they're at the circus. Would I come back? I do not believe.

Ontzettend leuke intieme zaak. Het eten was goed en lekker. Enige puntje is dat zowel antipasti als primi / secondi piatti iets meer smaak mag hebben door kruiden en specerijen. Wijnen zijn goed, bediening vriendelijk en de rest goed. Prima plek voor leuke avond samen

Dinner for 3 recommended by our hotel. Lovely seasonal autumn dishes featuring mushrooms, pumpkin and artichokes. Nice wine, ambience and staff.
