03/10/2023: Finally after 30 hours in Florence we had a meal worthy of this city. And it was in a literal hole in the wall. You might walk by it 3 times like we did looking for the place. It's because the sign over the door says ALIMENTARI in bright red letters and the official name is only in chalk on a board. There are few tables so were lucky to get a table for 6. Many of us had sandwiches but one had an eggplant parmigiana that so good we tried to go back but never found the time. They're only open til 2-3 pm so that limits your options. The antipasti board very good and the focaccia they used for sandwiches had great flavor. The service was fast, friendly and English-speaking. Over the course of a week it was one of our top 3 places.

01/10/2023: Great little eatery off the tourist trail that is humble and so delicious! We had a great lunch here with Greek Salad, bread, Tortellini Patate, Ravioli Racatta and Bruschetta. Everything was excellent. This small eatery is off the beaten track just enough to be humble and excellent at the same time. Sign out front says Alimentari.
