I think the food let's it down the most. It's a very old family style restaurant with family style cooking but it isn't great cooking. We ordered a carbonara like pasta dish and the grand mixed platter and a side salad. The platter included veal, sausage, sweetbreads, frog, apple, and some other sweet things. The grand platter wasn't particularly tasty. The pasta was quite nice but maybe a little too heavy on the cheese. The mixed salad was just that. The service was not bad as it was a busy Friday evening.
Excellent and refined cuisine, maintaining an attentive but true trattoria style. A plus to the Piedmontese mixed starter. The tajarin at Castelmagno are very good (maybe not for lunch :-)..)
The solution of the outdoor tables in the beautiful square is splendid (except for the current period with work in progress).
Very good for occasions where you can eat very well without too much formality.

Typical restaurant with Piedmontese specialties in a typical environment. We ate well. Retro atmosphere, friendly staff. We will definitely return on a next trip to Turin.

We were welcomed very kindly by a gentleman who made the effort to speak French with us. The waitresses are all very nice and friendly. We ate very well, the dishes were plentiful and very good. Desserts too. No doubt we will come back!

Very very good. The waiter who served us is new, he's just starting out. I liked how the more experienced girl was there ready to support him in times of difficulty.
Place I recommend. The proposals for Piedmontese specialties are good. I will certainly return if I have the opportunity to return to Turin. A thousand thanks!

Anche questo locale è di Piero Chiambretti, molto abile a gestire locali storici e dediti alla ristorazione. Si trova sotto i portici all'angolo tra via Po e Piazza Vittorio Veneto, accanto ad un altro locale storico (attenzione a non sbagliare...). Si può prenotare senza problemi anche online dal sito. Menù ampio e tanti piatti tipici da assaggiare. Ambiente caldo e atmosfera adatta per una cena con amici quando fuori c'è freddo. Qualità alta (da non perdere la fonduta con polenta fritta) e prezzi adeguati.
Presente anche il fritto piemontese, non facile da trovare (con rane e timo...).

Locale tipico, abbiamo mangiato un piatto unico con piatti tipici salsiccia e patate e taurini. Non poteva mancare la degustazione di un fritto misto piemontese che riesce ad abbinare la carne con il dolce, molto interessante. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, personale molto gentile.
