Nós dormimos no hotel "Grotta Palazzese". A noite andamos pela bela cidade de Poligano a Mare. Pequena, mas estava cheia de gente a noite. Jantamos em lugar bem legal. De manhã tomamos o café nesta espécie de recôncavo (gruta), que é o restaurante do hotel e fica na beira do precipício.

This place truly has the wow factor. Pretty spectacular as all will have seen, Instagram Central! Lovely welcome on arrival and rightly so, hotel guests get the ‘rail seats’ overlooking the sea. However, at last sitting 9:30 pm there were empty seats and we, or anyone was not allowed to take these. When paying top dollar I think that this is somewhat shortsighted. That said, a very lovely place. Let down by the food sadly. Very mediocre. A great shame as with better food comes a better evening, comes better memories. Should you go there? Yes very much so but choose just two dishes from the menu rather that the offered tasting menus. They will do this, just ask. Good but not quite great.

18/08/2023: Non avevamo grosse aspettative al riguardo, ed effettivamente si è rivelato un posto per persone di passaggio. Il purè di fave con le cicorie conservava la forma delle “cucchiaiate” con le quali era stato prelevato dalla sua ciotola originale, prima di fare il viaggio nel microonde; Le cicorie erano di 2 verdi completamente diversi, tutto sommato buono. Abbiamo poi continuato con un primo ( le orecchiette) ed un polipo alla piastra con patatine fritte ( entrambi pescati sicuramente nel congelatore ) senza infamia e senza lode. Una bottiglia di vino 40€ a testa
07/08/2023: Locale con tavolini all’esterno. Posizione ottima praticamente in centro. Camerieri gentili. Servizio veloce. Ottima la qualità del cibo. Costo un po’ alto ma tutto sommato in linea con gli altri locali.

02/02/2024: L’ambiente è splendido, una struttura in pietra che impressiona. A ridosso della città vecchia, è un indirizzo valido per pasteggiare vicino a molti luoghi da visitare. La cucina e il servizio di buona qualità è un conto forse leggermente sopra le mie aspettative.
10/10/2023: We thoroughly enjoyed one of our first dinners since being back in Italy. This was recommended by the hostess of our B&B and she was spot on! The Caprese salad, bread, pizzas were all really good, in fact, one of the best meals we had during our two weeks in Puglia. The service was find, and the prices were quite reasonable. We highly recommend!
