Simple, typical, welcoming, warm, clean, familiar place Friendly, open, fun and above all prepared staff and much more than up to the standards of many starred places Mouth-watering food to fill your fill Obviously the choice was typical and lardy and absolutely satisfying Including the rice cake House red wine paired nicely Price more than adequate It's worth it It's more than worth it!

We had lunch at Christmas, with an à la carte menu. Cozy and "warm" place with friendly staff Good dishes with good prices I would stay here again if I was in the area

Eravamo in vacanza un paio di giorni e dopo Carrara siamo andati a visitare Colonnata per un pó di scorta/regali di lardo per amici e parenti;ci siamo fermati per pranzo in questa bella locanda, personale gentile e piatti davvero buoni!Ci siamo presi un ricco antipasto di Lardo,melanzane,Vergazza e Cecina,un primo di Testaroli al pesto e noci,contorno patate alla cipolla e curcuma,Cantucci al Vin Santo e 2 caffè,tutto buono e conto più che onesto,complimenti!

Questa storica locanda si trova alla fine della tortuosa e magnifica strada che si inerpica tra le cave di Carrara fino a Colonnata. Solo lo scorcio di veduta vale la salita. La locanda offre piatti ruspanti ma ben eseguiti, con qualche piacevole divagazione. Il lardo di Colonnata trova la sua migliore valorizzazione nelle pietanze proposte ed in particolare nel coniglio farcito e lardellato. Rapido il servizio e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Andateci anche per visitare il paese ed acquistare presso la locanda il famoso lardo di Colonnata.

19/11/2023: Claudio 11/19/23. My friends and I stumbled upon it by chance, we were passing through after a visit to Caprigliola (a really interesting village) and we stopped for lunch. We will certainly return to this somewhat spartan restaurant but clean inside, courteous staff, abundant and excellent traditional dishes with good quality/price ratio...!!! Yes, I recommend it and I will return to this trattoria which is a bit rustic on the outside but really captivating.
10/10/2023: Finally an excellent and genuine Trattoria like you can't find anymore.
