28/01/2024: A decidedly positive experience in this beautiful location in Cilento where, between one cove and another, between a sandy beach and a rocky one, there is a vast culinary offering which, for this very reason, requires a certain amount of thoughtfulness in the choice .
My family and I went almost without fail! My sources are never wrong, and our first time at Taverna del Mozzo was really good.
After a beautiful live demonstration of the fresh catch of the day, from which I drew for my second course: a 600 gr San Pietro. prepared in the oven with potatoes which I will immediately describe as a heavenly, delicate preparation, respectful of the excellent raw material and with potatoes that have literally absorbed the soul of the fish. I have rarely enjoyed potatoes like this. Moving!
However, my dinner began with a slow food product, Menaica anchovies, proposed here in combination with fantastic spaghetti, divinely cooked to perfection, with shredded mozzarella and oregano. Infinitely good dish.
For the record, my two children had a first course based on linguine with shelled seafood, which was really, really good. They then continued with an excellent fry "without an asterisk" :). My little one then also treated himself to an excellent cannoli with ricotta and chocolate.
My partner, after a Catalan dish of shellfish, continued with a fantastic, sublime peppered mussel dish.
Accompanying us in this dinner is an Asterias, a very good pure Fiano, rich in minerality, from the Tempa di Zoé winery.
The bill, for what we ate, was really unexpectedly low! Maybe it's because we're used to Milanese standards, but staying around €40 each for these dishes was truly the icing on the cake!
13/10/2023: Went 2 evenings in 1 week of holiday, competent staff, ate in front of the sea, very fresh and varied fish, very good and fresh fried fish
