With the whole family we went into the Caserta area to visit the village of Valogno and a few minutes from the village we decided to have lunch at the Vesuvio restaurant in Roccamonfina; We didn't have high expectations having selected the restaurant after trying to call other businesses without receiving an answer, but I can say that I would recommend trying the goodness of their dishes to anyone. Cured meats prepared with their own hands including appetizers (such as artichokes and broccoli in oil), a formidable platter! At this point the anticipation about the first course began to build and we opted for wild boar ragù and fusilli with porcini mushrooms and also with this choice we were pleasantly impressed by the flavors of the raw materials. Serene and kind staff accompanied us through lunch with smiles and simplicity. Well done, we will return and recommend.

Good and generous Marpione platter with many typical and genuine products, excellent cheeses. The first courses are good, fresh porcini mushrooms. Excellent house wine and friendly, helpful service. Highly recommended!

Restaurant immersed in the magnificent setting of Roccamonfina. Unique flavors in a family context. The mushroom, bean and chestnut soup is truly spectacular. Good wine list. Friendly and professional staff.

Sono stata oggi a pranzo in questo fantastico ristorante, immerso nella suggestiva e caratteristica cornice di Roccamonfina, grazie ad un suggerimento di un familiare ma la mia esperienza si è rivelata ben oltre le mie aspettative. Siamo stati subito accolti dalla dolcissima Daniela che con suo marito portano avanti la tradizione di una cucina che sembra ormai scomparsa!!! Gentile, cortese e con un sorriso che scalda il cuore, ci ha fatti sentire subito accolti e coccolati rendendo il servizio impeccabile per tutta la durata del pranzo. Un’attenzione al cliente che viene espressa non solo da tutto lo staff ma che si ritrova e trova la sua massima espressione nella fantastica cucina di questo ristorante. Ogni singolo piatto, dall’antipasto al dolce, risulta estremamente gustoso e curato anche nella sua semplicità. I prodotti sono tutti tipici, freschi e soprattutto a Km 0, addirittura il pane ci è stato servito ancora caldo e croccante. Pasta fatta in casa, salumi del posto, formaggi di una qualità eccellente, carni, anch’esse, di ottima qualità, cucinate ed esaltate alla perfezione, per non parlare della grande maestria nel cucinare il piatto principale ovvero i funghi porcini e non tralasciando neanche il momento finale del pranzo ovvero gli amari che risultano anch’essi ESCLUSIVAMENTE dalla casa. Il Vulcano non lascia spazio a nessun prodotto da supermercato ma solo a prodotti nostrani e alle sapienti mani di chi è stato in grado di portare fino ad oggi la tipica cucina della tradizione. Lo consiglierei un milione di volte ed anche noi non vediamo l’ora di ritornarci e gustare le loro prelibatezze. P.S: se questo non bastasse anche le porzioni sono abbondanti e generose.

Ristoranti com’è questo tengono viva la tradizione della vera cucina locale radicata nel territorio e con ingredienti di alta qualità. Bravi!!
