Saghir Ristorante Wine Bar In Praiano

Fantastic, quality food in a mellow but stylish environment. We went for dinner here with our teenaged son (March, 2024). We ordered the ravioli, steak and clam pasta. Everything was so excellent and perfectly cooked. Normally we wouldn’t order steak at a seaside location but our son wanted to try it and it was so delicious and NOT overcooked! The clam pasta was cooked to perfection and the ravioli, too (delicious ricotta/herb filling). We loved that the chef (owner?) was also the waiter (a one-man show!) It just seemed very authentic and not a typical tourist spot. Beautiful meal!

Very great little Italian restaurant, the dishes are on a slate menu, we had Spaghetti Putanesca very tasty 😋 and recommended. The boss cooks himself!

A real discovery. A small place, with few tables, where the owner is a cook and waiter. Exquisite attention, speaks English and Spanish, as well as Italian. The food was delicious, prepared to order in the open kitchen: steamed mussels, a first-class entrecôte, as well as good wine and an excellent tiramisu. Totally recommended.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover this awesome family-style restaurant after a hectic day at Positano. And I am forever grateful that I made a decision to visit because I met Mr. Saghir who showed me around his kitchen and even shared some of his recipes. As a catering chef, his offer to share ‘secret’ Italian recipes paid me some great dividends when I came back to NY early February 2020 (even though everything halted mid-March 2020). After this pandemic, I need to go back and support Mr. Saghir who must go through some tough times right now. By the way, needless to elaborate, all of his simple, unassuming dishes are delicious and priced at non-Positano rate.

Hands down best tiramisu I’ve ever eaten

such a personal experience. love it when a well established chef opens a smaller intimate venue. we tried so many dished from the prawns to pasta & finished off with tiramisu. the house wines paired well with all the dishes. great music and vibe too. would come back if we came back to praiano! chin chin = )

Piccoletto really brought Italian hospitality to us - highly recommended 💯 We were stranded by the rain and he made us the best Americano so far we had on the coast and the freshest, homecooked style pasta and fish. You will definitely enjoy a meal or two here! Rmb to get the tiramisu for a sweet ending!

This restaurant is fantastic. It is a small place that serves delicious food. The chef/owner does it all. Everything is cooked fresh to order. I had a Caprese salad that was simple, great tasting mozzarella and tomatoes with olive oil and basil. We shared a spaghetti puttanesca which was yummy. I had a steak for my main which was cooked perfectly. I have been to Praiano many times and this restaurant is becoming one of the best in town! Buon Appetito!
