Years ago, after frequenting it for a long time especially for the mixed fried food and the risottos which were, in my opinion, very good, I moved away and to this day I have never returned to San Marco in Arosio. Reason? Simple, after I was served a mediocre mixed fried dish for the third time in a row precisely because I detest any form of contempt on principle. Having reported this each time, the third time the restaurant manager justified himself by saying that in that period unfortunately the catch was what it was and that therefore I would have to adapt. It's a shame that they didn't adjust the prices (downwards). I would like to return but I'm afraid of being disappointed and I'll avoid it for the moment.

Nice restaurant, easy to reach, reservation was not necessary, good welcome. the food eaten was brought and served well, it's a pity that the good manners of the waiter who was often present to top up the glass were not up to the standard of the uniform, a white short-sleeved t-shirt with the logo on it could be fine for a pizzeria, but if you also have the restaurant, the waiter must absolutely have a white underwear t-shirt and a white long-sleeved shirt, perhaps without a tie or bow tie, but the figure must be impeccable, I hope that the restaurateur interprets this particular passage well, I don't want to denigrate the waiter much less the restaurant, it's a tip. I go back to the food, spaghetti with seafood, yes it was good, plentiful and with enough fish and some shellfish but it's not like it was who knows what. The mixed grill was also good but the fish steaks were too dry, the side dish brought to us was pleasant. The wine however, served very well, left a little to be desired, I drank other labels of Greco di Tufo and I can guarantee that the one presented by them is not worth the cost paid. Another sore point was the dessert, honestly I have never eaten a tiramisu made that way, it was basically a single layer of mascarpone cream and I think there was some cream mixed together inside. With great kindness when paying the bill, pointing out this detail, the tiramisu was deducted. In the end the restaurant is not bad, but seeing a waiter kindly managing tables in a short-sleeved t-shirt with the risk that the hair from his arms could fall onto the plate is not a nice thing to see. Honestly, the prices of the wines with those labels should be lowered or better yet, change the offer of the wines. The dessert well... better change to tiramisu.

Una degustazione di crudo di pesce eccellente e variegata accompagnata da un gradevolissimo frizzantino bianco hanno reso la serata in questo locale sobrio ed accogliente davvero gustosamente piacevole. Molto buona la focaccia iniziale cotta nel forno a legna così come le pizze. Personale garbato, sorridente e professionale. Un plauso particolare al giovane chef Francesco. A presto!
