Spillo birra & cucina In Roma

Went last night not to eat but to drink a few beers, excellent choice of beers on tap and really good taps, next time I come back I will definitely try the cuisine too. Optimal

From the outside it looked like the "usual neighborhood bar" but I changed my mind when inside I saw a welcoming and informal environment. The staff I spoke with were courteous and kind. Table service is quick although I would suggest using paper menus (as many pubs do) and not only preferring the QR Code (it is true that it is "smarter" but a customer does not always want to see the menu from their mobile phone and, above all , the screen size will never be the same as that of a paper menu). During my visit, I ordered a Guinness-like beer (I was very doubtful) and some fried chicken fillets... I had little hope, I admit... AND I WAS WRONG! The beer was EXCEPTIONAL, Guinness-like taste as well as the color... the fried chicken had an unparalleled crunchiness with an absolutely top sauce! I really changed my mind. The portions are generous and my friend and I even ordered the fried chicken fillets twice. Having reached the dessert, the "definitive" test and sometimes sword of Damocles of a pub, we ordered 2 tiramisu... here too Spillo proved to be a pub capable of offering quality desserts, but without quantity (the small glass containing the tiramisu is finished in just a few spoonfuls 😢). The prices are average and perhaps slightly less (2 of us paid a total of €30: 2 beers, one medium and one small, 2 fried chicken fillets and.. 3 tiramisu... I know, I ate 2 of them 😂). The venue inside has a certain charisma but in my opinion it lacks greater brand awareness... yes, there are paintings with famous and "vintage" people on a dark neutral background, a mirror in another area of ​​the venue. The anonymous entrance with the “Spillo” sign doesn't give it character and, it could be minimal, but in my opinion perhaps a logo is missing? At the moment I have only tried 2 foods therefore the final rating is 4/5 on the food because I want to delve deeper into this aspect. The environment 3/5 because it is not "wow" and the space between the tables is limited. The presence of tables outside is good but here too the quality of how they are presented needs to be improved (some external tables have worn plastic "like a tablecloth"). There can be many ideas to make the room stand out from an aesthetic point of view. Having said that, I suggest going to Spillo because it is not "the usual pub" but a hidden pearl in the ocean. 😉

The potatoes alla gricia are excellent, I recommend the IL CALABRESE and IL ROMANO sandwich, the tiramisu is also very good.

Comoda birreria con ottime birre artigianali, molto spazio, comodo parcheggio e ottimo servizio

Locale di tendenza e molto frequentato in zona Tuscolana. Tantissime ottime birre alla spina oltre ad altri drink come vino, spritz e cocktail. Da provare assolutamente i loro hamburger, sono favolosi! Abbiamo assaggiato anche pinse, primi piatti tipici della cucina romana, contorni come verdure grigliate e patate al forno, dolci come la cheesecake e il tiramisú e siamo sempre rimasti molto soddisfatti. Gentilissimo e simpatico lo staff, curato ed accogliente l'arredamento con tavoli disponibili sia all'interno che all'esterno. Assolutamente da provare!
