Tenuta di Cavalieri is amazing! The place is warm, calm, and well-managed, with a variety of good breakfast options. It’s a nice family business with a beautiful Toscane architecture. It was warm inside we didn’t even have the need to turn on the air conditioner, it's cozy inside. If you love cats, there are cute ones around. The natural surroundings are breathtaking. I strongly recommend it! Thanks to the owner, his son, and the friendly woman we met in the morning. ( when we went there we took the bus and got off at the wrong stop, but the owner kindly picked us up in his car ( it was super helpful and kind, thanks) and when we left the hotel, he even dropped us at the train station for free)

We had a great time, unfortunately we stayed one night, but we fell in love with the place and the owners... Eleonora welcomed us as if she had known us for years! Mrs Denise prepared us a fantastic breakfast!! Thank you for this experience we will definitely be back.

La Loggia Restaurant

30/10/2023: Nothing to add,utterly perfect. Situated on the hillside overlooking Firenze,the property has a great view and la loggia offer balcony seats facing the scenery. This is a total different experience compared to the hectic florence. We are lucky enough to visit before the season closing. But I advise if you plan a visit,please contact the hotel/restaurant to check if they are opening. We have chosen the tasting menu ‘contrasti’ with a well curated seafood menu. Afterall the florentine steak and tuscany traditional meal we think this is a refreshing break. The restaurant manager simone is very nice to have offered us some champagne for my pre-birthday. We open up the apetite with a set of beautiful ‘primavera’ garden like apetitizers. Simone pretty presents the stories of each dish behind and the local ingredient to make the beautiful crafted dishes. To higlight there js one sphere shape butter which is made from the milk on back of the hill of the restaurant. It is so creamy pairing up with the perfect crusted bread. The basic ‘bread and butter ‘ can simply shows how well a restaurant is. Other than that I love the mushroom crema antipasti, perfectly decorated. Afterall the chef alessandro cozzolino meet us,he is very friendly and also previously worked in Hong Kong from where I am originated. He told us all the beautiful ceramic plates are designed by him,such a detailed-minded display. I would like to remark on the wine pairing,highly recommended as you will taste wine from different region,they will pair it up based on your own needs and interests. and most of all you can enjoy the dinner without any hassles. Overall the restuarant and hotel has a great atmosphere. It is a enjoyable meal,great service from a passionate and detail-minded team. Highly recommended.
03/09/2023: Eating at La Loggia-the fine dining restaurant in the Villa San Michele, located in the hills above Florence in Fiesole, was an amazing experience. We arrived early, but one of the managers, Eleonora, was so gracious and gave us a tour of the hotel and then offered us a Prosecco while they readied our table. The wait staff was top-notch. You have a choice of one of the tasting menus—which range from €190-140. Another option is to choose 2 a la carte items, plus dessert. We chose to order a la carte. Everything is gorgeously presented on custom-made ceramics. My first dish was the Camelia floreale—a luscious combo of tiny shrimp, nectarines, and juniper. It was wonderful. My partner chose the Mugellani—ravioli with potatoes. But first they brought in an array of breads and grissini—scrumptious! My second dish was a kind of risotto-like dish made of spelt—and ancient grain grown locally. My husband chose the risotto. Both were scrumptious! In between each dish and after dessert we were presented with amuses bouche. Their tastes exploded in the mouth! The views were spectacular. Fiesole is cooler than Florence, so bring a wrap.
