Terrazza Val D'Orcia In Pienza

Great for lunch. Problem for parking

On this incredible terrace overlooking the Val d'Orcia you can breathe a relaxed atmosphere. The customers are mainly foreigners, but the cuisine has not made any compromises to meet the "tourist" taste. In fact, it offers very captivating dishes, both traditional and otherwise. Young and professional service. A great compliment to the giardiniera accompanying the fillet.

We ate here two years ago, and went back for my birthday dinner our first night in Pienza, then went back again for lunch. Both times we found the servers to be very welcoming, friendly and efficient, the view over the valley to be magnificent, and the food well above par. I enjoyed the Ravioli with Truffle Sauce so much that I (don't tell) ordered a second portion. After all, it was my birthday! Desert was served with a candle and a soft serenade from one of the servers. We returned for lunch later in the week to enjoy the soft cooked egg specialty and rigatoni with meat sauce, followed by a grappa and a cafe'. Each meal was begun with a complementary glass of prosecco. This is an elegant place with superior food and service, and so is not inexpensive. We felt the prices were appropriate for the location (outdoors under huge white umbrellas overlooking the Val d'Orcia), the high level of service, and the excellent food.

Excellent restaurant with extremely good and tasty food, very nice and friendly service. From the garden terrace you have a wonderful view of Tuscany. Recommended
