Trattoria Baffardello da Rosolo In Lucca

In a word..Wow!! The environment is striking for the fine living taste of the furnishings. Elegant and very welcoming. The service is definitely full of attention and small surprises starting from the entree up to the coffee service. We had seafood salad (the best we've had so far!) and scampi tartare with burrata and liquorice (perfect pairing). Followed by tagliolini with calamari and sage, risotto and grilled fish. Well presented dishes, freshness and quality and excellent cooking of the fish. A surprise from start to finish. Generous portions and the cost is largely commensurate with the type of service and excellent cuisine.

I CAME THERE BY ACCIDENT AND WILL DEFINITELY RETURN I came to dinner invited by a friend-client. The funny thing is, I've driven past it a million times and never thought about stopping. The environment is nice and welcoming. Dedicated lights for each table, quiet and discreet atmosphere, the people who work there are courteous but warm and human, truly pleasant. As well as professional, certainly. I was early, they sat me down and served me a glass of bubbles. The table is elegant: breadsticks made by them, very decorative fish-shaped ceramics, glass water bottles with their praise inside, again in colored glass: a cow on the shoulders of a fish. As an amuse bouche: homemade bread, oil and salt crystals and a cup with a cream (it looked like Jerusalem artichoke) with fish eggs. I had some raw prawns with burrata: delicious and served with blackberries and raspberries and a kind of mango jam, as well as edible flowers and green apple. A flavor that I will remember. Then I had some orecchiette with turnip greens, anchovies and lemon zest: tasty and plentiful. My guests took... I attach the photos, I don't remember the name of the dishes (certainly Galician octopus on a bed of potatoes). We drank a Tuscan rosé bubble. I didn't look at the list of wines and bubbles (I was invited), but speaking with the person who served us, I had the impression that they have a decent cellar and that they know how to give good advice. The bubbles were very good and accompanied well what we ate. On the menu I saw crudités (also oysters), which if they are like my prawn, will certainly be exceptional and pizza (two types, I think), which intrigued me. In the end I got some baked fruit with cream ice cream. Interesting.

Really good food, the touch of class were the breadsticks as a centrepiece!!!

Pranzo di lavoro in solitaria. Ho ordinato un piatto di mare pur essendo a Lucca (prettamente carne) e ne sono rimasto meravigliato, pesce fresco e pieno di sapore! Servizio ottimo e veloce, ritornerò!

Showing up with a reservation is always better as well as a courtesy towards those who work and prepare a very structured menu. I ate very well, The varied and very honest raw food for the price, The scampi tartare, burrata, liquorice and passion fruit could have less burrata but it's a personal taste. Buccellato bruschetta with cod and dried tomatoes are good but perhaps a little on the sweet side. The first courses are excellent and tasty, the fried dishes are exceptional, the second courses are well-seasoned and perfectly cooked (a big applause for cooking the fish in slices, which are meaty and pleasing to the palate). Well-assorted desserts and the right treat to end the meal. The cellar is well stocked with labels worthy of merit and well represented and recommended by the dining room staff. The place is clean and very well looked after, a part of the room is perfectly placed with lights and furnishings in the cellar. The staff is courteous, attentive and helpful as well as having a special courtesy and friendliness, an attentive ear for the customer and his requests. The bill was more than adequate for what we ordered. I thank everyone for the very pleasant experience.

Excellent food, friendly staff. They made us wait a long time but they made up for it. Quite expensive but the fish is really very good. Refined dishes of excellent quality.

Taglierini as a first course and cod as a second course. Clean environment with good food. To be recommended

I was passing through for work reasons, on my lunch break I decided to stop here. And I did great!!! Absolutely impeccable food, service and atmosphere. It was all exquisite and top quality, at a more than adequate price. I will definitely return but above all I recommend it to everyone!!

Personale cortese e locale carino, il menù stringato ed il pesce fresco, prezzi modici per porzioni normali. Il tris di tartare di pesce era eccellente e molto buono anche il tonno alla piastra. Da tornare.
