Excellent experience of traditional Italian cuisine. Excellent restaurant in the center of Florence next to the Vasari corridor. Special mention for the homemade bread. Well-stocked cabin. Delicious Livorno-style cod and creamed cod. Absolutely worth trying. Price appropriate to the quality of the food. We'll be back

This is some of the best food that I’ve had in Italy. I would travel back to Florence just to eat there again. The food was amazing and flavourful, and the service was just as good with everyone ready to assist or even just have a conversation. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great meal in Florence.

Better than great food. Instead of a chef I think they have a wizard in back doing the cooking. Service, location and atmosphere were amazing, but the food… o the food.

Having eaten at Celestino for over 15 years, we did not know what to expect our first time back after it came under new ownership. That we were astounded by the changes is an understatement. This is now one of the restaurants that you must not miss while in Florence! The menu is extensive, offering both Florentine classics and innovative new dishes, all prepared to perfection. The staff was amazing; friendly, accomodating, and knowledgeable. The new owner, Leon, has both honored and improved the legacy of Celestino. (A special thanks to the entire staff for letting us linger way after hours. You are the best!)

We ate here again and again during our week in Florence. The food is great, there is a wide choice of Tuscan specialities, the staff are welcoming and friendly, the owner is very attentive. The location in a small square near the ponte veccio is lovely and not too busy.

02/04/2024: Impeccable location and in an excellent position; truly pleasant and relaxing environment and atmosphere (from the furnishings to the choice of music) Impeccable service and presence; both the restaurant manager and the boy who accompanied us throughout the journey were courteous, professional, very attentive and perfect in their descriptions (definitely a plus having asked for advice on the wines to accompany the courses, suggestions truly appreciated) We started with an aperitif to get into the mood while enjoying two delicious Gucci spritzes For dinner we opted for the two-course + dessert menu; in our case "don't say cassate", "our trip to Modena" and the desserts "La gluta" and "From Paestum to Carrara" What can I say, excellent dishes, thought out and cared for in every detail (from the serving temperature to the plating) The Chef's welcome was very welcome (a very fun experience as well as an explosion of flavours), the selection of bread, hand-rolled breadsticks and flavored chips and a particular appreciation for the small pastry shop Wide choice of wines also by the glass and excellent advice on pairings with individual dishes Overall a wonderful experience, definitely a journey and not just a dinner, in the end I wanted to start over again (and not because of my appetite)!

Amblé

08/03/2024: It's the second time I've come to Amblé and both times I've left me pleasantly satisfied. An alternative and well-kept place, with friendly, easy-going, kind and always ready to joke service. Good quality food, perfect for a quick snack or a good aperitif. This time I got: sandwich with pastrami and green sauce, honestly I was expecting a nice strong flavour, but instead it was very delicate and pleasant. Next I continued with the turkey sandwich which unfortunately quite disappointed me, very good ingredients but perhaps a little anonymous and avoidable. Finally I tried the bacon sandwich with honey, salad and onion, this is what surprised me the most, probably due to the onion which gave a nice boost to the whole sandwich. All accompanied with two very pleasant drinks. The only problem, for the small place, is that we ended up outside near a poorly functioning heating column so, I must say, we suffered quite a bit from the cold. For everything I spent around 45 euros, 8 for the drinks, 7 for the two classic sandwiches and 13 for the pastrami one with chips and salsa. Probably a little expensive, especially if I reflect on the fact that I still didn't feel full when I got up from there. But all in all, for the environment and the service, I highly recommend this place because you will surely leave with good memories.
08/03/2024: Ideal place for an aperitif. Great drinks, friendly and polite staff, quiet and pleasant environment. Really very nice decor.
