For our first night in Como, we let the concierge at the Hilton make a reservation for us. Due to the cold weather, we knew we wanted to sit inside and have an intimate dinner after a very long flight from the US. From the moment we stepped into this restaurant and were greeted by a lovely gentleman who spoke only a tiny bit of English, we knew this was the right choice. A small restaurant with only about 15 tables, the interior is brick yet elegant. Our food was delicious and he guided us through the menu even though there was a slight language barrier. He timed the meal perfectly along with a wonderful bottle of wine. When a hotel recommends a restaurant I never know if it is going to be super expensive or a bit of a mass product. This was delightful, charming and perfect for us. We were walking by the next evening, and the same gentleman came out and waved hello to us, and remembered our last name. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from in Como, but I am extremely happy that we started our trip at this one.
