Trattoria Della Fonte In San casciano in val di pesa

We were there for a destination wedding and took over the whole place. The food was lovely and the wine was reasonably priced. The views are amazing. This place is in the middle of nowhere. We were allocated a villa up the hill(1km ish). We didn't have a car and that was a mistake. You need a car if you are staying in the villas. The road was tough on cars, our roommates got a puncher. Impossible for rolling luggage. We were informed that the resort will be open next year and then closed for 15 months for renovations. Hopefully they improve the road and invest in some golf carts!

AMAZING lunch, best we had in Tuscany. Amazing chicken parfait and the sage crème brûlée was next level. Amazing service. Beautiful scenery and vibe 10/10

The wedding dinner! Fabulous, indeed dreamlike location, thanks go to: Giulia who looked after us and was always available to satisfy our needs, and to the entire dining room and kitchen team for an impeccable dinner and service, from the set up to the presentation of the excellent dishes all accompanied by an excellent wine. We thank you and hope that there will be other opportunities for us to be pampered by you again.

Ottima cucina.. materie prime di grande qualità lavorate con maestria che danno vita a una vera e propria esplosione di sapori! Atmosfera bucolica raffinata dove e d’obbligo sorseggiare un bel bicchiere di Chianti classico! Consigliatissimo

Thank you to the staff that looked after our group of 7 yesterday for a beautiful wine tasting and dinner at Trattoria della Fonte! Sorry we didn’t get his name but the young man was able to take in our large group for an early wine tasting before dinner in such stunning surrounds! We absolutely enjoyed our evening there and should we ever be back in the region, we will definitely drop in again. Food/service/estate 10/10 highly recommend! Grazie mille!

Nous avons atterri dans ce restaurant car il est ouvert le lundi… Nous avons passé un agréable moment. Une carte un peu courte mais les choix faits étaient très bons. Un peu cher…

Sono stati a cena in agosto, semplicemente perfetto! Luogo incantevole, cibo e vini fantastici.

Buonasera, oggi per la prima volta mi sono recato in questo posto con mia moglie. Sinceramente eravamo partiti con aspettative diverse … Posto bellissimo sulle colline e molto curato … Abbiamo ordinato 1 antipasto toscano: qualche fetta di affettati e formaggi, qualche oliva e carciofini, un pezzettino di frittata e un pezzettino di schiacciata (vedi foto): sinceramente ci aspettavamo qualcosa di più … qualche crostino, miele/marmellata da accompagnare ai formaggi o qualche frittino. Dopo sono seguiti i 2 primi … nella norma (piatti che comunque abbiamo mangiato anche in altri ristoranti). Niente da dire sulla bistecca … qualità eccelsa. 2 dolci: buoni e abbinamenti particolari. Camerieri molto professionali e molto disponibili anche al dialogo (noi siamo stati serviti da Lorenzo). Sinceramente per un posto così ci aspettavamo molto di più con una selezione di piatti e abbinamenti diversi. Parlando con un cameriere, ci è stato detto che loro hanno concepito questo posto come “trattoria” … ma sinceramente ì prezzi non sono proprio da trattoria!!! Anche una coppia di clienti vicina a noi (provenienti dall’Emila Romagna) si aspettava qualcosa di diverso … il cameriere ha detto che alcuni piatti venivano offerti dal ristorante per il disguido. Peccato che al momento del conto, nonostante le nostre titubanze espresse al cameriere e al direttore di sala, ci sia stato offerto solo 1 caffè … conto totale più di € 200. Location affascinante ma per noi è un posto prettamente turistico e non per fiorentini DOC!
