Even though we hadn't booked, we were warmly welcomed by the staff of the Gagin restaurant. We started with an appetizer of Valtellina sciatt and bresaola, both excellent. Afterwards we tasted manfrigoli and pizzoccheri, what can I say? Both courses D-I-V-I-N-E! Excellent quality of ingredients and the ladies Chefs really very short! We then continued, now sated, with a taste of a very characteristic second course, the tzigoiner. It exceeded our expectations. We recommend this small but welcoming restaurant, there is a family atmosphere. The waiter in the room was extremely kind and helpful.
Ps even the house wine was excellent! A red cabernet Congratulations to all the staff, we will definitely be back!

Good choice. Traditional local cuisine dishes, prepared with good raw materials, excellent service and good quality/price ratio.
I never give 5 stars but when you leave satisfied it's fine!

Perfect for tasting the typical dishes of the area. The risotto with bresaola and pizzoccheri are delicious. Absolutely take the tzigoiner! Adequate prices

Absolutely phenomenal lunch! We came here after a morning on the Bernina Express. The owners were very welcoming even though we barely spoke Italian. Pasta was phenomenal, and the beef cheek was the most tender meat I’ve ever had. Side bread was a bit stale, but everything else was great.

La migliore trattoria in cui abbiamo mangiato durante il nostro soggiorno: piatti tradizionali valtellinesi ben cucinati come gli sciatt, i pizzoccheri le manfrigole e soprattutto lo tzigeuner. Una nota di merito va alla persona che ci ha servito: accogliente, invitante e con una buona conoscenza dei vini della zona, tanto da averci invogliato a provare 3 bottiglie! Bravo!
