The food was good and the room was normal, perhaps a little too expensive..... but we are in Florence

We were craving steak and our thoughts flew to Trattoria Locanda Dino, a very good choice. After a nice plate of crostini with livers, mushrooms and lard, delicious, our desired steak arrived. Cooked just right, tasty and soft, truly mouth-watering. To finish on a high note, 2 biscuits with hazelnuts and a fig drowned in maraschino, a genuine digestive. Beautiful evening, recommended for those who want to spend a relaxing evening, eating in the good, informal but friendly Tuscan tradition, with Paolo who inspires trust and good advice. Adequate price. Excellent we will be back.

Last month I used this inn and was very satisfied, immediately feeling like I was at home. Meanwhile, I observe that the village of San Colombano is very quiet (and this is a blessing for those who, like me, are looking for rest) and is located about two kilometers from both the FI-PI-LI highway and the A/1 toll booth. of Scandicci: which means "having Florence and the entire Lower Valdarno at your fingertips". Furthermore, no more than a five-minute drive from the property is the Villa Costanza terminus of the Tramway, which means being in Florence S.M.N. in no more than twenty minutes, without the stress of Florentine traffic and its limited and expensive parking spaces. So, going into detail, I observe that the structure is very nice and welcoming, although "spartan", according to the most genuine and authentic "rustic" spirit of the Tuscan tradition and, probably, this is precisely why the Locanda immediately appears pleasant and welcoming as if you were at home. A circumstance confirmed and made even more concrete in the morning at breakfast when the manager, Mr. Paolo, quickly and politely satisfied my predilection for "savoury" rather than "sweet". Excellent sleep quality, spaces now unthinkable for those who live in the city like me, large bathroom, comfortable bed. Finally, I would add that another UNPARALLELED strong point of the structure is that, coming down from my room, through a small door, without having to go down to the street, you enter the adjoining restaurant (where I ate really well, well, well!) and , when you come back tired from a day of hiking, this thing…. PRICELESS!!! For those who don't have a bad smell, are looking for a quiet, familiar place, strategically positioned for excursions in Florence/Valdarno Inf. and want to enjoy the convenience of dining on site, for me, this Locanda: IT'S THE NUMBER ONE!!!

Typical Tuscan trattoria, family atmosphere and good food

A beautiful trattoria from times past passing by on the motorway. I managed to get to Scandicci. After 4 km I arrived at this trattoria and I consider them very lucky to have found this place. We ate well, very high quality Tuscan meat, very good.

Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Antipasto; tagliere di salumi toscano molto molto caro, in relazione alla quantità e alla qualità. I crostini toscani fatti con la baguette e non con il pane sciocco, gridano allo scandalo! I salumi son quelli che si possono trovare al supermercato. In totale c’erano due fette di salame, due fette di finocchiona, due fette di prosciutto e una fetta di formaggio molle, il tutto per 15 euro a persona. Esagerato! Secondo piatto; filetto alla brace. Buono, cotto al punto giusto. Contorno; patate al forno, nella media. Dolci; zuccotto fiorentino, praticamente congelato. Cantucci accettabili. Conto salato! Rapporto qualità/prezzo non buono. Non credo che tornerei
