Sono stato con 4 amici durante il Carnevale di Ivrea. Abbiamo preso un menù, portate abbondanti e di qualità. Antipasti piemontesi veramente speciali, unica nota dolente la polenta insipida nelle seconde portate. Personale molto gentile e disponibile, prezzo ottimo per la quantità e qualità del cibo. Assolutamente consigliato per chi si ferma ad Ivrea.

Historic tavern located in the historic center of Ivrea, a true and authentic tavern like I haven't seen in a long time. The place exudes history, simple and honest dishes, those designed to feed and not just to satisfy the eyes. Wines on the list linked to the Canavese area up to the noble Carema. Spartan service but carried out with kindness and grace.

We were very satisfied, we found true Piedmontese cuisine, made by those who know it with quality ingredients at a good price for everyone. In these times, when Piedmontese restaurants are improvising even those that until the previous month offered fake sushi or pizza, finding places like this is a rare fortune.

Ordiniamo menù degustazione, uno "tutti antipasti" e un piatto di pasta in bianco per una bambina piccola. Ci portano un piatto di pasta scolato male e con un pezzo di burro sopra (neanche la decenza di scioglierlo,senza parmigiano ,mah saranno gusti!). Nel menù antipasto mancano due portate, non avessi chiesto non ci avrebbero detto che un ingrediente mancava e che quindi un piatto non sarebbe arrivato. Ci hanno detto che hanno abbondato nelle altre portate....va bene ma almeno avvisare sarebbe stato più corretto (non é stato applicato alcuno sconto alla cassa). Alla domanda "nel menù avevamo il dolce giusto?" Ci é stato risposto "si ma se anche non volete strafogarvi , potete non ordinarlo". Io pago un prezzo ed esigo quello che ho pattuito per cui che lo mangi o no non sono problemi della cameriera! Il menù comunque é tradizionale e di medio livello. Locale freddo, accettano i cani e li trattano meglio dei padroni.
