We were here for a private lunch and short gnocchi-making class, but the food and hospitable service made our entire trip! We had a large set of courses but the standouts were definitely the gnocchi and roast beef. We helped make some of the gnocchi (the staff claims it was all us, but I have my doubts), and the gnocchi had a perfect ratio of potato and flour so that it still tasted mostly of potato with a soft, melt in your mouth texture. The tomato sauce was perfect as well, slight texture and just light enough with a deep flavor in it. The roast beef was fresh and well cooked, with a great sauce to pair with it. The homemade pasta definitely is a standout, and we will be back on our own!

A very good restaurant with good value for money, excellent food and service! The restaurant is centrally located and only a few minutes walk from the jetty.

Locale molto carino esteticamente. Servizio molto cortese, un po' carente nella spiegazione delle pietanze. Cibo senza carattere, la materia priva appariva di qualità, ma i sapori erano tendenzialmente blandi.

Very, very friendly staff. Excellent food, would highly recommend the homemade pasta!! The prices are fair and the ambience is pleasant.

A bit difficult to find....coming from the city center you need to find the stairs. Once down the 6 flights or so, walk down the road until you find the port. Beautiful entrance and lovely welcome. Then they sat ne and forgot me! I had to track down a server to take my order and then they stayed on track. The sea bass (secondi) was fantastic. The peppered mussels were a bit bland, but fresh. The panne cotta had a strange film and lumpiness to it but the inverted top part was delicious. Vini biancas were ok but nothing stellar. They were generous enough to provide Limoncello as a disgestive (gratis).

La Taverna a Santa Chiara

05/04/2024: This was the best restaurant and experience of our 4 days stay in Naples and surroundings. We went in family and each of us had a different choice but every dish was excellent, very different from all the touristic restaurant serving all the same classical dishes. The service was very friendly and welcoming. It was just perfect
