The best dinner!
Lovely evening in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend this restaurant! Delicious and high-quality food, the best we have tried in Val Gardena.
We recommend trying beef goulash with polenta!
It will be almost impossible to get the table without reservation so make sure to book a table before.

A few steps from the historic center of Ortisei, there is this restaurant, expertly renovated with a beautiful stube and lots of wood.
Even though we hadn't booked, they seat us right away and after bringing the menus, they serve us water.
Nice menus, very varied, where you can find traditional dishes and revisited dishes. The risotto with apples and speck was very good: balanced, the sweetness of the apple contrasted with the flavor of the crunchy speck. The goulash with dumplings is also excellent! Finally, the apple strudel (shortcrust pastry) with vanilla sauce is delicious.
I appreciated the possibility of having wine by the glass.

A pochi passi dal centro storico di Ortisei, c’è questo ristorante, sapientemente ristrutturato con una bella stube e con tanto legno.
Nonostante non avessimo prenotato, ci fanno accomodare subito e dopo aver portato i menu, ci servono dell’acqua.
Bei menu, molto vari, dove si trovano piatti tradizionali e piatti rivisitati. Molto buono il risotto con mele e speck: equilibrato, il dolciastro della mela contrastava con la sapidità dello speck croccante. Ottimo anche il goulasch con i canederli! Infine squisito lo strudel (di frolla) di mele con la salsa alla vaniglia.
Ho apprezzato la possibilità di prendere il vino al calice.
Conto nella media del luogo.

Very welcoming restaurant where you can dine in one of two shifts from 6.30pm or 9pm. We tried both the tagliatelle with game ragu, which were superb, and the shin. Prices are average for other restaurants in Ortisei. A place truly worth trying!

a mixed experience. The lack of essentials like toilet paper and paper towels in the restroom was disappointing, indicating a gap in attention to customer care. The food was inconsistent; while the polenta was undercooked, the beef goulash and speck dumplings was great .However, the service lacked receptiveness to feedback. Most food coming out looked good, so I would give it another go and I’d not let our experience put you off going too.

Siamo già stati clienti lo scorso anno di questo ristorante sul corso di Ortisei…quest’anno per noi si è confermato il miglior ristorante che abbiamo provato. Abbiamo trascorso la serata di Capodanno avendo riservato un tavolo diverso tempo prima. 12 persone tra cui 3 bambini. Menù a la carte … cibo ottimo, offerta di piatti locali molto ben preparati…servizio veloce ed informale… clima cordiale… ambiente caldo ed accogliente… il tutto condito da una splendida nevicata…. Torneremo sicuramente… BRAVI
