We only went for an aperitif outside before dinner. Very high quality products (in particular the raw ham was fabulous). Good sparkling wine, not exceptional. Service done with great courtesy and professionalism. High price for the quantity.

The food and wine were good. But watch out for prices of anything that is not listed, including 2 euro for a carafe of tap water that is brought automatically and 12 euro for a small plate of cold meat and cheese

Professional and very friendly staff and service.
Perfect choice - well-assorted, differentiated and not overly rich menu.
Very high quality of dishes, well prepared and served. The sombrero tableware, the ones made fun of in Maurizio Battista's shows, are unfortunately present, they are forgiven but I will give my first round of applause to the restaurateurs who will return to serious forms. The venue is sober and modernly elegant.
The bill is proportionate to the excellent quality of the whole.
Recommended for those in Rome who are not looking for the usual menu for tourists, given the originality of the preparations.

A heavenly place for those who love good food and quality wine!
A little removed from the tourist route in one of the younger neighborhoods - in Testaccio there is this Taverna which offers very high quality products at very fair prices - we really enjoyed ourselves - excellent food and in addition to the classics of Roman cuisine you can also find slightly more modern dishes always well made!
A must stop!!!

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. Fortunately! Excellent food, the pasta was simply a dream, away from the standard “pizza and pasta” magical service. Reserved straight away for next time.

Molto buono ma eccessivamente caro.
Abbiamo ordinato una fonduta di formaggio, ma in realtà era un piatto di ceci passati con del formaggio e del cavolo. Era buona ma certamente troppo cara ( 15-18€ non ricordo bene) per una piccola terrina buona ma non eccezionale e servita secondo me troppo fredda.
Carbonara molto buona.
Amatriciana buona ma non straordinaria. Fettuccia di tartufo e mazzancolle molto buona.
Dolci buoni.
Servizio cortese ma troppo LENTO.

I am a regular visitor to this place, I had never written reviews but the time has come: welcoming place, attentive, discreet and smiling staff always ready to fulfill any request, excellent and refined menu (amazing panzanella, duck breast, the fettuccelle and off we go) excellent and accurate selection of wines (I am a sommelier). I noticed that the table setting has changed, there are uncomfortable and temporary cutlery rests (cork stoppers), I'm sorry because it's really the only discordant note.

Perfect. After several trips to Rome I finally booked us in at Taverna Volpetti. The online booking was seamless and, despite us arriving ridiculously early, we were seated immediately. The menu is, to me, perfect Roman cooking. The wine list is vast but easily navigated, and the food some of the best we have had. The service friendly and welcoming. I do not hesitate to recommend eating here. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Locale molto carino e piacevole, pulito, servizio molto buono, gentili e discreti i camerieri, ottima scelta di vini e piatti ben presentati forse troppo di nicchia le scelte del menù, direi che le uniche pecche NON indifferenti sono i condimenti un po’ troppo salati e il conto molto molto salato, forse con “meno sale”diventereste veramente eccellenti, pensateci
