Hotel with a comfortable room, magnificent view of the lake, new and practical bathroom, comfortable bed, no TV and it's very good, wifi. Welcome available, smiling! Restaurant good value for money, almost a gastro restaurant for me. The flavors are original, well executed, super good, small quantity. At this level it’s art. Perfect table service, gastro type!

My wife and I spent a night at this cosy hotel on the island. The location is superb and the room was a corner one with balcony and magnificent view over the adjacent Isola Bella. In the evening we went to their 2 Michelin star restaurant Piccolo Lago in Mergozzo for a fantastic dinner, obviously quite pricey but worth the experience. The hotel / restaurant take care of the transfer by taxi boat / taxi.

The magic of Lake Maggiore is the beauty of the Borromeo Islands which inhabit its Piedmontese portion, a few minutes by boat from Baveno and Stresa, it has been known since the early 1900s. I myself have visited them several times but had never stayed there. Don't wait for a particular occasion, give yourself this gift even for just 1 night, like we did. On the Isola dei Pescatori, right on the tip opposite to the ferry landing, there is an Il Verbano hotel restaurant which can also be seen from the brick-red Baveno landing stage with white writing. Let yourself be welcomed by its discreet charm and treat yourself to the emotion of the corner room on the 2nd floor, the one with 2 windows and a small balcony and look out to enjoy the view of Isola Madre with its Palazzo Borromeo so close that you will feel like you can touch it with a finger, and then the outline of the Lombard shore of the lake up to the Madonna del Sasso di Leggiuno. The colors and atmosphere will impress you at any time of the day, from dawn to dusk. The sky and the water are tinged with pastel colours, never brazen but so enveloping and warm. Every corner of the hotel offers small secluded glimpses of this scenario, small and large terraces, the outdoor area of ​​the restaurant (absolutely worth trying because it is supervised by the starred chef of the "Il piccolo lago" restaurant in Mergozzo Marco Sacco and owner of the hotel), the covered terrace of the breakfast room where you can taste all the local products and feel pampered and looked after. Take time to walk in the evening through the narrow, winding streets of the island when all the day's visitors have gone and all you can hear is the lapping of the water and the sound of your footsteps on the pavement Sit on the bench on the hotel's private dock and enjoy the moon in the dim light of the street lamps. Always a guarantee!!! Excellent restaurant on the fishermen's island, offering a free speedboat connection service from Baveno and Stresa. The risotto with perch is the main dish but the appetizers are also of great importance.
