I love this place, the staff are lovely, the food is to die for and the wine assortment is perfect. Massimo cooks locally caught fish there. My favorite dishes are, the sardoni alla Massimo, the cozze, the shellfish pasta and the mixed fry which is light and cooked to perfection. It is without a doubt the best place where you can eat fish in Trieste!

A very pleasant discovery. Great food. Fresh fish; genuine and simple dishes, without unnecessary frills. The owners welcome you like at home. I recommend it for an authentic experience outside the centre.

Family atmosphere, excellent quality, there is a bit of a wait but if you want to eat fresh fish it is normal to wait, but the quality is worth the wait... Highly recommended.

Un locale che non si è saputo rinnovare.. Forse per scelta! Chissà. Ma la qualità del cibo è fuori discussione. Consigliato se non si guarda la forma ma la qualità

Ottima trattoria per il pesce sempre fresco con gran varietà di antipasti, meglio prenotare perchè troppo spesso è pieno.

DEVI PRENOTARE, POI SAZIATI DI OGNI BEN DI DIO DI PESCE, DAL GRANCHIO AGLLE CODE DI SCAMPO O DI GAMBERO APPANATE O AI FERRI. SE SEI FORTUNATO INCAPPI ANCHE NEL MIGLIOR BACCALà MANTECCATO DELLA REGIONE! NON C'è PIATTO CHE NON T'INNAMORI.

Trattoria alla Gioconda

30/03/2024: Excellent restaurant with excellent fish. Mussels and fried calamari and fried calamari and sardines. Excellent sweet cream pasta.
12/03/2024: An old school osteria (although they call themselves a trattoria). It's one of those places with regulat customers, not too obsessed with interior design. The quality of the food is great with prices below the average in Trieste. We ordered several dishes: calamari fritti, a seafood plate, spaghetti with mussels and we shared. The service was warm and friendly.
