D'Avalos Ristorante Pizzeria In Venosa

The food is excellent as are the staff and owners Teresa and Saverio we stayed here at Christmas. There was a Christmas dinner which was charming and refined. At the same time we lived in the apartment that Teresa and Saverio rent. An incredibly fantastic location with great attention to detail. Nothing was missing. The fridge was full of drinks, such as water, Prosecco fruit juices, as well as jam to enjoy as a small morning snack and a coffee maker. You could also cook there if you wanted, the apartment is fully furnished with everything you need. Wipes, shower gel, cream, soap. TV, sofa...bar stools, everything!! Highly recommended, hospitality, cleanliness, everything perfect and impeccable! Teresa and Saverio are incredibly lovely and sincere people. Thanks for everything!

All perfect! Excellent and plentiful food, presented with elegance and refinement. Simple environment, very clean, especially the toilet! Competent and polite staff. Highly recommended!!! Furthermore, the restaurant is located in the historic center, an excellent location for a walk. All perfect.

We were there last week... we took a platter of cured meats and cheeses and a first course... all good... but the platter, especially with regards to the cheeses, was a little poor... for two people it's not possible serve two small pieces of cheese, moreover of different quality...

Like delicious and plentiful food. The owner was kind and welcoming. We booked by phone and were served quickly. We will return with great pleasure.

The restaurant has a furnished veranda overlooking the Aragonese castle. As for the actual restaurant, the menu is basic, with a very limited choice. Not being lovers of grilled meat, I opted for pasta al torchio with broad bean purée, cardocelli and bran pepper, my companion, Orecchiette with ragù pezzente, as a second course fried cod with fava bean purée and bran, I, a platter of cheeses and jam, him. The pizzeria operates in the evening and the menu is very tempting. The price paid was more than fair, even considering the type of place. Advised.

My rating is: 25 ½/40 My brother suggested trying the D’Avalos because he saw it during a famous Italian TV Show about restaurants. I give it a try because I trust my brother and not the TV Show :) Hence, we had a quick lunch at D’Avalos. We didn’t book, and we spontaneously hopped in, and the staff arranged a table for us close to the entrance. Here’s a summary of my experiences in short: Atmosphere & Place 4: This rating is because of the TV. It is useless and low profile to have a screen with loud volume while having a meal. The place comes with an anonymous style and ordinary furniture. The restrooms are located on the second floor and are not accessible to people with disabilities or families with kids. The toilet was clean and tidy, and I was happy to find the hand sanitiser. Menu 8: We had the “caciocavallo podolico” cheese flan as a starter. I loved it. It was delicate and tasty. The presentation was sexy, and I liked the edible flowers around the flan. As the main dish, I had the “podolica” beef steak with “cicoria” as a side dish. Both of them are incredibly yummy. My brother opted for the hand made pasta with broad been, mushrooms and the king of the region, the “puparulo crusco” a dried sweet pepper. Service 7: The shop staff served us with a smile and professionalism, and the service had perfect timing. Awesome! The proverbial hospitality of the folks from Lucania is fully respected here. Bill 6 ½: The prices are fair considering the quality of our dishes. I don't like to pay that price for a restaurant that welcomes guests with a TV screen! Please, remove that screen ASAP!

Sehr schönes eingerichtetes Restaurant super, nette Bedienung, sehr zuvorkommend. Essen war ausgezeichnet. Besonders das Risotto kann ich empfehlen. Das Restaurant ist auch sehr modern und hell eingerichtet. Einziger Minuspunkt ist die Lautstärke, da viele Familien mit Kindern dort sind war es sehr laut. Als wir dort waren, waren leider keine Plätze mehr draußen frei. Was dem Ganzen aber kein Abbruch getan hat. Wie schon geschrieben unbedingt das Risotto probieren. Große Portion und sehr schmackhaft.

We saw this restaurant on Italian TV and it was a perfect evening. staff super friendly and attentive to our needs.. We highly recommend this place for it's outstanding service and great food
