Nice restaurant in the historic center. Delicious cold cuts platter, very good meat. Menu with some local specialties. Friendly and welcoming service, in my opinion a little slow, but Sundays can be an exception.

I just read a review about this restaurant that made me smile. It's now been 10 years since the first time I ate at the Grail and I've gone back and back and back and I've eaten wild boar in all sorts of ways and I've never found any kind of little bone there, which could also happen,...now ..you who found it MUST BE VERY UNLUCKY,😭..not to mention the sauce defined as watery....well...never eaten a watery Grail sauce..you also said that you ate at Cracco's, but not Was it in Scrocco? Let's talk about cooking homemade Pappardella, which you eat after 9 minutes. Not even my mother, specifying that she makes it by rolling the pasta with a rolling pin, waits that long, maybe you personally like it overcooked? ....I always wonder if these reviews are real, I know that the competition between restaurants is fierce, or perhaps I am particularly lucky or particularly nice that I am always offered excellent food, good wine and I remember the excellent freshly baked biscuits offered as a taste without a price increase. The first courses were good, the boy who served us was kind, but we won't be back. High prices and details of the receipt not precise, as it says (we had 3 first courses, an appetizer, a drink): 1 first course 40 euros, 1 first course 40 euros, 1 coffee 1.50. He seems beat so bad to do it. Instead I believe that the receipt should be detailed.

We discovered this restaurant by chance and it was a pleasant surprise! The food is very good and of good quality and the staff are very kind. Since two people at the table have celiac disease, we really appreciated the attention we received, with the chef taking a personal interest in our needs by coming to our table. I highly recommend it, especially for those who eat gluten-free, as they offer a wide selection (pasta, bread, main courses and desserts).

Locale piccolino e informale al centro di Calcata vecchia. Cibi molto buoni soprattutto il sugo al cinghiale il più buono mangiato! Personale gentilissimo e professionale, giusto rapporto qualità prezzo. Consigliato!

I am American and my husband is Italian, from Rome. We like to go to interesting places with friends, like a day hike to Calcata including a delicious lunch as part of the day. Il Graal is one of our favorite destinations because the food is fresh, locally produced, prepared well, and the presentation is good. The interior is beautiful and highlights the antiquity.The service is excellent and the price is very fair for the area. We highly recommend it. In busy periods, it's good to make a reservation and have some patience, which is normal during peak times anywhere.
