During our motorcycle trip, which mainly consisted of rally rides, our base was SanGimignano. Due to the excellent reviews on various sites, we came here one evening to fortify ourselves. Here we ordered water and wine. After we told the waiter we would like to have the Bistecca alla Fiorentina I.G.P, a suitable wine was recommended to us. We picked our meat from 1,833kg. There was also bread and insalata mista. Very excellent, especially the salad. (Quantity/Taste/Quality). All I can say about the steak itself is that when we come back, we will order it exactly the same way again. We have never had a steak that could follow this one! Very tasteful and tender! Pleasantly warm in the middle, but not at all cooked through to the edge. No brown edge visible in the cut! Beautifully fried on the outside, really nice and dark as it should be. The price for such an experience is absolutely justified! That's why I can't understand some of the reviews. The Dönermann in Prussia is cheaper in terms of price, but it tastes just as good! And as always, we evaluate the overall situation, because if it doesn't taste good, it's not the host's fault, it could just be that the guest's taste wasn't met! But how this can happen here is a mystery to all three of us! With that in mind, carry on as before, see you again! Ciao!

The Troubadour Saved on New Year's Eve from the flood Very kindly they welcomed us at 11pm after receiving a bin from another restaurant booked months before which made us wait almost an hour under the water and then refused. Normal first courses, decidedly excellent meat! Highly recommended

Evening of December 31, 2023 Priceless!!!❤️ After having booked a table for 6 hours at 10pm months before in another restaurant, we were brutally "packed" by the managers. We decide to look for someone to welcome us at 10.30pm. We call "il Trovatore" and receive a splendid welcome. It's not easy for a restaurateur to accept six people arriving from half of Italy, tired and cold, on the last New Year's Eve and manage to make them feel good, serve them professionally and flawlessly, with a smile! They succeeded. Thank you very much indeed. Everything is excellent, fantastic meat, but first and foremost the courtesy and availability are rare. Compliments. We'll be back.

Excellent pizzas, friendly and efficient owner

Quando si parla di Fiorentina non si può badare a spese ma ugualmente è possibile distinguere tra qualità e prezzi giusti. Al Trovatore siamo un po' sopra la media, in generale per tutti i piatti. Al di là del prezzo, il personale si è dimostrato sempre molto gentile e disponibile: una dote che fa digerire con piacere anche il conto salato.

Uno dei pochi (unico?) ristoranti che accettano di accogliere 2 persone alle 21.15 in settimana. Locale che offre servizio di pizzeria e ristorazione. Nei piani di quella sera c’era una bella fiorentina da condividere; siamo stati accontentati! La qualità della carne a nostro parere abbastanza buona, le patate di contorno un po’ bruciate (peccato perché quelle che abbiamo salvato era buone). Personale gentile. Locale moolto alla buona. Prezzi nella media.
