They live up to their name: the fried calzones are incredibly tasty. Everything is good. The people inside are also very good. In particular I remember the lady, I don't know if she was the owner, very kind.

Very kind and helpful staff, good quality cottages at an excellent price, in a discreet welcoming environment. Recommended for a quick meal of good rustic dishes according to local tradition.

28/08/2023: Appetizer Maxi, home made cured meats and cheeses accompanied by delicious vegetable side dishes. We tried the ravioli, porcini mushroom tagliatelle, homemade fusilli., and the grilled sausages. Everything is homemade, mostly grown on the farm and made on the premises. The lemon crostata (tart) was a perfect meal end for sharing.
24/08/2023: The location is beautiful and quiet. The food is very good and the pizza is very good. I recommend the platters with local delicacies (cold cuts, cheeses, mozzarella in mortalla) and all the other appetizers. We meet there with friends and family a couple of times a year and the guys who run it are always courteous and very kind and allow us to spend a nice evening together in good company.

21/01/2024: Modest but welcoming internal room, located in the historic center, Maisto is a family-run restaurant where you can taste the typical products of the area cooked in a traditional way. The outdoor space with the ancient church of the Assunta in front makes the difference. Excellent food at normal prices. Claudia and Felicia's friendliness stands out. Advised
14/10/2023: Small family-run restaurant located in the historic center of Policastro, precisely in Piazza Duomo.... Where you can appreciate the typical Cilento cuisine, but with the search for top products by the owner "CARLO", a unique character in all aspects view..... Sociable, smiling and very attentive to his customers..... IL MASTIO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
