Osteria dei Bassi In Albareto

.. the very kind owner.... we arrived soaking wet and she turned on the stove for us.. it's not really the classic tavern.. it's better to book and say what you're eating.. even 30 minutes before.. and follow the innkeeper's advice .. so as not to wait too long!! few dishes but excellent and authentic!!! It's a shame that there weren't any cured meats as a starter...and for the type of place I would have asked for some homemade dry cake and coffee with mocha!!

Pranzo a base di funghi. Particolare nota per le tagliatelle fatte in casa, veramente buonissime. Ambiente familiare e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.consigliato!!

So let me start by saying that, regarding the quality of the dishes, the experience was absolutely positive, truly 5 star. Mushrooms galore starting from the appetizer crostini up to the fabulous mushrooms as a second course. We had lunch in this tavern on the Sunday of the Albareto mushroom fair, which is notoriously very popular, and, as the excellent owner immediately anticipated, the service would have been affected. Luckily we were not in a hurry and so we were able to enjoy the delicacies that were offered to us in complete tranquility. Really recommended for me!

Provato in occasione della fiera del fungo di Albareto ed precisamente domenica 1 ottobre. Pranzo a menù fisso ovviamente a base di funghi: la qualità e la quantità di quanto offerto ci ha soddisfatto pienamente. Il rapporto tra quanto consumato ed il prezzo è stato davvero eccellente. Il servizio è stato un po' lento ma non importa perché era assolutamente giustificato dalla giornata di festa e dall'enorme affluenza. Insomma ne è valsa bene di aspettare un po' tra una portata e l'altra ma, se si è in buona compagnia ed in un bell'ambiente, il tempo poi passa velocemente.....

Everything extremely good and genuine. Every dish is fresh and made to order. Gnocchi with hare ragout, local cheeses and delicious porcini mushroom crostini. Slow and relaxed times but it's ok, they allowed us to enjoy everything course by course, and moreover it is peacefully immersed in the Apennines. Just maybe a little expensive for such a spartan environment, but given the excellent raw materials, that's fine. Lambrusco 14.5 Euros, but sublime.
