We really wanted to like this place as we had been planning to eat here even before flying to Rome. Must be said that the person who greeted us up front made us feel welcome and we appreciate the hospitality.
The basement, while brightly lit and spacious, had really poor acoustics, but this is forgivable.
Food : we had a great start with the fried vegetables and were expecting a great meal ahead. However this was not the case. Our veal and braised beef were way below expectations, both under seasoned and tough. Sides were presented poorly and potatoes were tough and overcooked while artichokes were extremely bitter. Opted to not have dessert after our meal because it was really just disappointing. We’re hoping this was just an off night and maybe when we return to Rome we’ll give this place another chance, but for now, it’s more misses than hits.

Very friendly, we had a dinner celebration and they reserve a separate room in the underground. Food was excellent well served, very nice waiters. Costs is on the low side compared with quality and service.

Kindness, quality and courtesy. A noteworthy Easter lunch at Poldo and Gianna's. Purely local cuisine, amazing use of raw materials with a touch of originality.

We ordered beef escalopes, artichokes, carbonara and ravioli. Everything was prepared to a high standard, but it could be less salty, because it's hard to eat it without a lot of wine :P
The children ate almost nothing because they said it was too salty, and their water was probably not as good as our wine ;)

Posto molto carino, in un vicolo piccolo, fuori dalle orde di turisti che appestano la capitale (ma il locale è anche frequentato da un moderato numero di turisti).
Ambiente molto confortevole, con servizio cortese.
Cibi ottimi (fritti stratosferici!) da gustare con un buono vino dalla ben fornita contina.
Si va sul sicuro!

Good service and ambience however the food only average. Bit of disappointment. Bread was dry and would have liked some olive oil to dip it in. Main course, plenty of meat, shame about the overcooked broccoli and the excuse for potatoes. Very nice wine and friendly staff.

Buona l'accoglienza, un po' meno il servizio. Cibo molto buono e abbondante. Prezzo un po' al di sopra delle aspettative comunque adeguato al luogo e al cibo. Da tornarci
