Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante io e mia moglie e ci è piaciuto molto. Piatti con pesce di lago e specialità valtellinesi. Buona lista vini bel locale e servizio.

Restaurant in Bellano (the town of the famous writer Andrea Vitali) discovered about a couple of years ago. We go there because it offers Valtellina cuisine, which we really like. We always take the same two typical dishes: sciatt served with chicory and pizzoccheri. The sciatt, which I have eaten several times also in Valtellina, in my opinion can be improved even if quite good, the pizzoccheri on the other hand are well made and respect Teglio's recipe (it's a shame that the portion is necessarily for 2 people and a little small). The restaurant has a lake view, is cute and well kept, with an open kitchen. Cleanliness of the room and bathroom Ok. Large spaces between one table and another and therefore ease of movement and respected privacy. Booking on weekends is recommended. Average prices.

Pleasant and large restaurant with a view of the lake🥰 We visited on a weekday in January and, to my surprise, there was only one chef. Sure he worked like a bee, but when there are 15 people waiting for lunch, it's a little difficult. We also waited a long time 🥴 The dishes were all very tasty, even if the portions were a little small. The waiters are very kind.

Valido sia in cucina che nei vini

Having tried quite a few restaurants in the area we stopped by here, it was off season so it wasn't busy although we did suspect it wasn't going to be the best experience given the reviews I had read and, even though it was off season, the restaurant next door was thriving. Service was excellent, friendly and quick. The food wasn't the best, it's very simple, I had lake fish with fries and was about 20 euro, The presentation was basic, and the portion size was rather modest. Regrettably, the restaurant's atmosphere failed to enhance the dining experience. The overly bright lighting contributed to a lack of warmth and welcoming ambiance. Comparatively, the following night we ate at the neighbouring establishment, at a similar price point, offered almost double the portion sizes and a far more inviting atmosphere. While the service was commendable, the overall dining experience was marred by the underwhelming food and ambiance. It's disheartening, especially considering its local appeal. With a few simple adjustments, such as addressing the lighting, this place could significantly improve. Despite the great service, I am hesitant to return straight away.

Bell’ambiente, antipasto con funghi porcini e polenta, porcini ottimi ma quantità scarsissima rispetto al prezzo 22€ con poca polenta tiepida. Cassoeula buona 18€. Dolci buoni 8€, vino caro ma di qualità. Porzioni un po’ scarse. Meglio prenotare.
