Food was just ok. Service was stuffy. They turned people away because they didn’t have a reservation even though they had space and then such person can simply make a reservation on the website and return. Was overall disappointed for the price and extra service charges (10% plus 5 per person).

Perfect first night in Venice! Every dish was delicious, so of course we had three (Escargot, Monkfish and Chocolate tart). The ambience was so lovely and traditional Venetian that we stayed for cocktails which were equally brilliant. Service couldn’t have been better. Would definitely recommend for a fancy evening out!

Excellent dinner as a couple after a lovely evening at the opera. The dishes were delicious. Wine too. It's expensive but it's good.

5/5 experience. Cocktails were absolutely amazing. Staff couldn’t be nicer. Grab a seat outside in the courtyard in the evening and enjoy all that Venice has to offer with the best atmosphere around.

Buona scelta per un dopo spettacolo, qualità dei piatti valida, prezzi decisamente alti se rapportati alla tipologia dei piatti

This restaurant will appeal to a certain type of diner. The service is classical European high style - the tuxedoed, multilingual waiters professional and disengaged. The food, a group of high style standards that blend classic French and Northern Italian, is presented exquisitely. The ambiance, turn of the (which??) century Rococo (maroon velvet and gold wall paper). And a wine list that starts in the 70's but rapidly ascends to 200+ bottles with a few braggadocio wines cresting the grand mark. (To be fair the suggested by the glass wine parings were excellent, and at 12-15 a glass, relatively reasonably priced.) But in the end, it all seems incredibly bland and impersonal. Both my duck breast and my wife's filet were clearly cooked sous vide, which had them buttery soft before being swathed in deep wine based sauces. But, there was very little real taste beyond rich, and melt in your mouth soft. My antipasto, a pumpkin and cream based flan with a cream source, had a silky texture; but if you asked me to identify a standout flavor, I would be stumped. The whole shebang seemed like it was trapped in what passed as an elite restaurant in 1968. Which is probably why the large group of bejeweled German diners in their 70's seems to be so impressed. But for my wife and I, admittedly only 10 years behind that group, it seems very much a missed opportunity, especially for a 275 euro price tag (inc one 80 euro bottle of wine). Today's chefs, even in mid range restaurants, are far more inventive, even with standard menu items. And as much as I enjoy professional service, this seemed at once, prissy and perfunctory I'll also admit, our impression was colored by the company we kept. On one side a local paterfamilias entertaining his daughter and son-in-law, droned on, without taking a breath the entire night. On the other, a family with 13 year-old bored out his gourd son and 2 year old in PJs and high chair who squealed throughout the night. Why parents take kids to places like this is beyond me. And while perhaps this was a factor of the large German group that took up the core restaurant space, we seemed to be seated in an overflow area bright enough to serve as an operating room. Not really the romantic dinner I had planned. Net, net, so many more fun, engaging and interesting places to eat in Venice than this.

CoVino

03/03/2024: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ half past. A place with simple and essential lines, it might seem a bit spartan at first, but the protagonists are actually the people and the pizzas. The management aims for quality products and you can feel it, the flours used are all semi-wholemeal while the dough can leaven for up to 70 hours. This makes the pizza light and digestible, I can confirm that. I took one with vegetables, particular because you use pumpkin, leek, potatoes and radicchio, instead of the usual courgettes, aubergines and peppers. My husband took one of the pizzas of the month of March, in his case the n.5 with Treviso porchetta, onion, scamorza and fried sage. The service is kind and helpful, the guys are fast and prepared. We arrived 10 minutes before the peak time and were served quickly, then the tables filled up and there was a bit more waiting but the staff really tried to please everyone as soon as possible...taking into account that there were several large tables, a wood-fired oven and two pizza chefs, I would say they did very well. We followed the pizzas with desserts. Point in favor, I appreciated that they were made by them, unfortunately, in my opinion, they needed a little more care. The pistachio semifreddo was a little too cold, it was difficult to break the part with the fork, while the pear cheesecake, although good, had a slightly moist bottom and did not mix well with the rest of the filling, continuing to crumble. I appreciated that there was some background music and not too loud. Sometimes in some places you can't talk due to too much volume. The small pre-dinner brought to the table together with the drinks was also appreciated, overall a good evening. Fair prices for what you eat.
23/02/2024: We got there by chance and I can say we were surprised. Excellent products, good choice of beers, great service.
