Homemade place, typical village tavern... very good dishes and generous portions. Try the Jota and Gnocchi with Goulash accompanied by a good Teran wine.

Trattoria "alla vecia". Non è presente il menù e i piatti vengono elencati a voce. I primi erano veramente molto abbondanti . E la cucina mi ha accontentato senza problemi in una variazione

Al David - La Vineria con Cucina

18/11/2023: Happened by chance on a Monday in November. One of the few restaurants open for dinner in the center of Trieste. The location is very characteristic, a nice tavern with tables also outside where you can breathe a family and convivial atmosphere. Fast and friendly basic service. Spaghetti with clams and bottarga was very good, too bad it got cold immediately, perhaps because it was served barely warm. Octopus tentacle with pea cream soup and excellent burrata. Amazing chocolate cake. Account in the norm. For me it was a good experience. Pet allowed. I advise.
17/08/2023: If you want to visit Trieste don't forget to have lunch, the first courses are very good

24/03/2024: Excellent structure, central location and super helpful and friendly owner.
21/02/2024: In a very good location, close to the city center and the sea. It was a bit noisy, because the kebab shop on the corner imagines itself as a dj, and it was disturbing until midnight, even with the window closed.
