We had lunch on Easter Sunday, and it was a FANTASTIC experience: - kind welcome from the owner, who was able to describe each dish with care and passion - cozy environment, with few tables, but very nice and quiet, ideal for couples - first course we chose: Mantuan rice and bitter tortelli, both excellent - second course: Mantuan stew with polenta, soft and delicious - equally delicious homemade desserts VERY AFFORDABLE prices, you won't find other places in Mantua where you can enjoy excellent first courses for €9 and equally delicious second courses for €12. Tip: BOOK, there are few tables.

Excellent typical Mantuan dinner! We recommend this typical place, excellent dishes, wide selection on the menu, vegetarian options and low prices. We looked for a long time for a place to dine that would inspire us and the Leoncino Rosso fully met our expectations. I recommend the pumpkin tortelli and the delicious homemade cakes made by the owner (in particular the cocoa cake with eggnog cream).

Excellent food, e.g. Spezzatino, Tortellini, Coniglio. Simple but original atmosphere, lots of locals. Super friendly service. And sensationally cheap! Oh yes, the house wine! Golden yellow, slightly moussing and very well tolerated even in larger quantities. No dish over €11.

How satisfied we have been with this Osteria, a small and charming dining room and the owner and lady who treated us fantastically, a delicious, delicious, delicious homemade meal, today's recommendation of the day was what we ordered, Lasagna Bolognese and Chicken fruit, the Lasagna was very good and the Chicken was EXQUISITE!!! Locale molto frequentato (il che è solitamente una garanzia). Antipasti di salumi e formaggi tipici, risotto alla mantovana (vialone nano) con salsiccia, di ottima qualità e abbondante. Abbiamo notato una buona scelta d primi e di secondi. Prezzi molto ragionevoli e personale rapido e gentile.

Tra la moltitudine di locali del centro storico di Mantova abbiamo adocchiato questa trattoria i cui prezzi, correttamente esposti all'esterno, ci sono sembrati addirittura più bassi di quelli del posto in cui eravamo stati la sera precedente. Essendo noi soltanto in due sono riusciti a trovarci un tavolo, ma tutti gli altri clienti che sono giunti dopo senza aver prenotato sono stati gentilmente respinti o invitati a ritornare più tardi. Io ho optato per un primo ed un secondo, mentre la scelta della mia collega (affettati misti con l'aggiunta di una fettina di cotechino) è stata "interpretata" dall'oste, che le ha portato due piatti distinti, il secondo dei quali con due fette di cotechino su altrettanti rettangoli di polenta. Spaventata dall'abbondanza delle porzioni, ha dovuto chiedere una drastica riduzione dell'altro secondo che aveva già ordinato. Il conto finale, seppur non eccessivo, ci è sembrato quasi superiore alla somma dei prezzi delle singole portate: forse è stata solo un'impressione, dovuta anche all'indecisione della mia commensale.
