05/04/2024: Really great food, staff were very busy but still managed to find time to offer great service- food was the cheapest by miles we could find in Varenna, and was also great. Really nice stone building with a good atmosphere and better music.

04/04/2024: You enter the restaurant and the first thing they tell you is that "you have to wait 40 minutes, we sit down and we have to order the menu. Then they give me the notebook and the pen so I can write down what I want to order, that note goes to the kitchen but well, and the boy leaves and leaves us there with the note. They don't tell us anything about drinking and they keep us there waiting, the waiter passes by, I raise my hand and say "excuse me" he looks at me and continues forward. After all, I have to get up, I ask for a 1l water and my surprise comes when they give me a small 330cl bottle and charge me €2 for it. On top of that they brought me another different pizza when I put speck e zola and they brought me another one. We see Italian people paying with a card, so I say "ok, you can with a card" and what is my surprise? When we have finished eating, I tell him with a card and he tells me that there isn't any, that it has to be cash, and we tell him that we have seen that if there is a card, it was either that or we didn't pay because we no longer had any cash left. . I don't recommend going here

10/01/2024: I thought I was the only one having horrible experiences at this Cafe. It turns out so many bad and negative reviews from customers at this place. I've never made any bad review prior to this, despite sometimes get some unpleasant experiences too. However, this particular shop is an exception as I wanted to validate what others had said about them. Bought a cup of coffee and croissant, it was a cold croissant and served with "take it or leave it" attitude. Made a cash payment and in return was given lots of two (2) cents of coins, worth in total close to four (4) euros! Yes, you read it right... can imagine how many stack of coins we get from them? Initially inform them politely that it was our last day in Europe and most likely the euros two (2) cents would not serve any values, as such we request to change the mode of payment to credit card. Respond was extremely rude, simply saying "NO!" and walk away just like that. Explain to them again and suddenly the old lady stood up from her table while holding the newspaper and scorn in Italian. Told her to speak in English, she still continue screaming and yelling in Italian 🤦‍♂️ Not giving up, told them to open the cash register as I'm pretty sure they do it in purpose. I saw they have two (2) and one (1) euro coins during the payment. But upon my horror, the cashier (assuming she is the older lady's daughter) raise her hand and giving an indication she was going to be physical and violence. WOW!!!! Speechless!!! Another lady staff trying to resolve the situation by took her own wallet to exchange the coins she had, but again, was told OFF by the old lady. The old lady even threatening us, that she will call police which I pretty much welcoming the idea. In short, we are saved by another local customer that just came in. We shared the situations to them and they were willingly to exchange the two cents coins to us. (Hopefully they were use back the same two (2) cents coin as the purchase payment) 😂 What a SHAME!!! As the owner of the shop can't find a solution to resolve the situation and it had to come from another customers. In conclusion, I can validate what others had reviewed about this cafe: 1. Very poor customer service, never seen in my life someone's screaming and yelling at their customers. Raising hand to start getting violence another interesting point.. 2. Racist (it could be we are Asians) 3. Gangster like attitude. 4. The list could go on and on... Moral of the story, yes... DO NOT visit this place at ALL COST!!! When you just arrive at Varenna-Esino stations, please do not worry. You can go further down and there are lots of cafe around which I'm pretty sure would serve you as their precious customer instead of this one 🤮🤮🤮

03/01/2024: Ci siamo fermati di ritorno dalla passeggiata a Varenna dato che avevamo parcheggiato nel parcheggio adiacente alla stazione. Ambiente bello, accogliente, pulito, ricavato nella vecchia stazione. Tutto il personale é gentile e simpatico. Ottima selezione di tè. Offre varia scelta di pasticcini, biscotti e cioccolatini. Possibilità anche di mangiare. Vende anche prodotti di vario tipo (biscotti, miele, pasta, ecc.).

31/03/2024: Chic, somewhat old-fashioned pretentious café in the center of Lecco. The prices are very fair, the service is quick and really helpful. Went there repeatedly for a small coffee or snack and despite a lot of work, the service was always quick and friendly.

30/03/2024: The bathroom creepypasta, never ask for directions to the bathroom! (Not just at three in the morning) The staff are rude and make you spend a lot of money! They don't have fantasy, failed!!!
