05/04/2024: I wanted to eat tom yum goong so much that I went there on purpose.
This is my first time posting something like this since then.
I knew that Thai food was expensive in Italy, and I remembered the tom yum goong I had in Sorrento, so I went there.
As soon as I saw it, I got angry inside.
In a palm-sized bowl, there are 3 cocktail shrimp, 3 slightly larger shrimp, and the only vegetables are a few pieces of cilantro, 3 half-sized cherry tomatoes, and 3 pieces of mushrooms. I was shocked because it cost 18 euros each. Steam rice is also 3 euros.
It's a famous place, so I'd say the 4 euro seat fee, which is quite expensive, means you get something like an aperitif and shrimp chips. Spend a few euros more and make it a little richer.
I've been to Italy for a month and this is the first time I've had such a hearty meal.
I hope you visit a Thai restaurant in Sorrento. I'll post a comparison shot.
Still, I hope you appreciate it by giving me 2 stars for the taste of the tom yum goong.

31/03/2024: I found it improved compared to previous visits. They have widened the space between the tables, which is very positive so you don't risk elbowing your neighbors at the table; I saw that they added a new room. Excellent service and food.
Easter 2024: ordered a shrimp and artichoke risotto that was simply amazing!
31/03/2024: Fish and meat always satisfy me, the restaurant manager is always at the top, as soon as I can, I gladly go there

If you are not of Sri Lankan origin, the cuisine does not abound with spiciness.

addition: since the first reception two months ago I have been back twice more, including today.
Egg Kottu, lentil and spinach dhal and polos (i.e. Sinhalese Jackfruit - a UNIQUE taste and texture) and finally the best dessert in the world watalappan (maybe that's what it's called:)
15/02/2024: Great simple food for the price.
It can get spicy, even inadvertently...like the somosa.
But I like spicy. It's clean , unpretentious...god for a healthy meal, even for veg/vegan.
I raccomend the curry rice, it's a mixed plate with protein and veggies.
Really warms your heart.
Rice nice and dry, not oily at all, and a great variety to go with

06/04/2024: Loving Korean cuisine I couldn't help but try Bikiki. We ate the marinated chicken legs (they melt in your mouth!), the ravioli and the rice dumplings with fish meat, all recommended.
Last but not least, the kindness and friendliness of the owners is not to be taken for granted.

06/04/2024: Very fresh and excellent quality ingredients. Freshly prepared dishes and ready in no time. Pure and genuine flavors. Very friendly and helpful staff. Casual atmosphere with kpop music, indoor seating available.
I loved the dubu bucim (fried tofu) which was a “limited edition” and the sujeonggwa and hotteok 💖 (basically everything ahaha)
I can't wait to come back and bring my friends too :)

02/04/2024: I always come here with my friends to do the Korean BBQ. I’ve always had an amazing experience with that. The go to is KBBQ, some beer and Soju. We always have a lot of fun. The service is not amazing but not bad either.
Love the place and is always a go to for KBBQ. I cannot comment of specific dishes.

20/02/2024: The culinary experience was exceptionally delightful. Our meal consisted of Fried Rice, Kottu Roti, and Fried Noodles, all of which were served in generous portions. The flavours were well-balanced and aromatic, providing a satisfying contrast to the typical flavours of pizza and pasta.
Please note that Briyani is only available on Saturdays and Sundays.

27/03/2024: Unfortunately I have to say that everything has gotten worse. I used to go there often and came back years later for a lunch break.
Partially raw rolls and spaghetti with 2 generous fingers of oil.
Noisy and cramped environment.
The only positive thing was the speed, but I would say that I would have preferred to wait 5 minutes more and have the ravioli cooked!
The lady at the checkout asked us how the experience had gone and I expressed my displeasure, to which she simply apologized. It would have been nice to offer ravioli, obviously I'm not saying this for money, but for the inconvenience.
I won't go back
27/03/2024: We were two people, and we had different experiences; mine was a bit disappointed about my main course, a udon plate with vegetables I found not so tasty. I recognise the entrances were good: dim sam and spring rolls. My partner was lucky because the curry was the main course and it was excellent.

05/04/2024: I went for lunch with my partner, for the price paid, all in all it's ok. Very friendly staff, certainly a little more variety would have been useful but not having used the hotpot/wok perhaps we are the ones who limited ourselves. The selection of desserts needs improvement. The Lasagna was recommended which was good if thin and the pasta was freshly made.

06/04/2024: small but very nice place with many references to Korea and its culture. there are some seats to consume on site. the chef Elena is truly excellent. I recommend the drink made by them, sujeonggwa, particular and delicious (like everything else...!)
