Everything has been amazing each and every visit. The people are so nice, they can speak english if you need it and it really feels as one family sharing their love and passion for Italian food at the lowest prices they can put! (6-9€/pizza or pasta). Just love this place.

01/04/2024: A beautiful experience of Milanese cuisine on the Navigli. Don't think it's a place for tourists, the food here is really very good! Excellent risotto with ossobuco, but also risottos in general, mixed appetizers and mondeghili are also recommended.

28/03/2024: Great tradition, generous in portions, in a classic setting... starting with the table linen. The counters and oven are beautiful. Young service, but well trained...still uncertain but will grow well. Peculiar to see in a place like this so many tables asking for modern buns filled with cuts and preparations from other times... why everyone eats them with a knife and fork, no one knows. Correct prices.

03/04/2024: Located in the center of Milan, in the nightlife area, it still maintains the spirit of a typical trattoria. In fact, the quality of the food does it credit, the typical Milanese cutlet is truly exceptional. The bill is appropriate for the quality and quantity of the food.

28/03/2024: I've had the pleasure of dining at La Vecchia Lira on multiple occasions, and each visit confirms it's a gem in the heart of the city. Renowned for its authenticity, this establishment never fails to deliver an exemplary Italian dining experience. Our latest visit was no exception. We began with an assortment of salumi and Mortadella al Tartufo, accompanied by artichokes - each dish was a testament to the quality ingredients and skillful preparation that La Vecchia Lira is known for. For the main course, we opted for the Fiorentina steak for three, alongside Cotoletta, a decision that left us entirely captivated by the flavors and craftsmanship of the kitchen. The mains were so visually and gastronomically appealing that we were entirely engrossed, forgetting to capture the moment with photos - a rare occurrence in today's digital age. To conclude the meal, we indulged in Tiramisu, a dessert that perfectly encapsulated the meal's essence: classic, comforting, and meticulously prepared. La Vecchia Lira remains a favorite for its unwavering commitment to authenticity, quality, and the culinary artistry that defines Italian cuisine. 05/04/2024: Excellent traditional Milanese cuisine, perhaps slightly excessive in price but overall we ate and drank well. Note that the waiter is not at all welcoming and has an attitude and set up more like a nightclub bouncer than a customer service.

01/04/2024: Authentic restaurant with quality food. You still have to walk a little, depending on where you are. It's not in a very busy place, but it's worth it. We tried several dishes and they were all delicious, very homemade.

02/04/2024: Milanese trattoria with well-made traditional dishes. The bill was a little (too) salty. The risotto with ossobuco is truly excellent, the cutlet good (perhaps the oven-cooked alternative is even better). Desserts almost all quite ordinary but of excellent quality. The restaurant has "classic" furnishings, the tables are very close together. Not suitable for small children (adequately advised when we booked) or prams. Taking into account the price you pay in the end, a little more kindness from the dining room staff wouldn't be unwelcome...

25/03/2024: Typical Milanese trattoria, with an old-fashioned atmosphere and typical dishes, all delicious and impeccably presented. Very friendly service. Bathroom a little cramped, being only one for both sexes.
