17/11/2023: We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant while in Praiano at the end of October. As the season was very much winding down, we wandered in without a reservation and asked to sit outside. Despite it being a little cool outside, the staff rushed to set a table for us with wonderful nighttime views of Positano in the distance. Cannot speak highly enough of the very attentive and friendly service of the staff, and the food was excellent. My husband and I opted to share an appetizer of eggplant parmigiana, which was superb! However, whilst waiting for that, we were each brought a plate of 3 small appetizers compliments of the chef, followed by a small bruschetta, also compliments of the chef. My main was Crusted Pork Tenderloin with potato millefeuille and stuffed onion, while my husband enjoyed gratineed grouper and a mixed salad. The food was amazing and all washed down with a wonderful local wine, and cappucino for dessert. This restaurant (part of a hotel) was definitely on the expensive side, but a wonderful treat and highly recommend!

21/09/2023: In our first night in Praiano, we drove to another restaurant near the church but could not resist the available parking of this place do decided to check it out. So happy we did! The service was implacable with the most professional and nice crew, and the food was outstanding. Local cuisine, fresh and delicious. We are a special starter of scallops in zucchini cream which was amazing. The sunset from the veranda is stunning. We also saw the owner walking around and chatting with the guest. She seems very nice. All staff speak perfect English. Prices are high but reasonable for all the good values of this restaurant.

06/10/2023: This is a gorgeous terrace view restaurant in Praiano! Their staff was friendly and at dessert even brought us out a chefs surprise! We are there when it was already dark but it would be a beautiful place to go watch the sunset!

18/09/2023: I had the absolute worst dining experience at the “Dolce Vista” in Praiano. After five days of culinary heaven on the Amalfi coast, we wanted to end our holiday in the restaurant situated above our BnB. We ordered an Aperol Spritz as an aperitif and finally got it at the same time as our starter. Caprese salad and Aperol Spritz are not exactly compatible. But hey, we started with the Caprese. We had eaten it several times in different restaurants, so we were disappointed to find shriveled up basilicum and dried out rucola. We ended up just eating the mozzarella, which was good. The main dish came and we had to remind the waiter for our glass of white wine. He came with a whole bottle of warm white wine, saying we could taste it warm whilst he went to get the ice bucket. When my wife reminded him that we had only ordered a glass, he mumbled something and filled our glasses completely with the warm wine and took the bottle with him. The main dish was served and I had a pasta with clams and mussels. Half of the shells were empty and the rest were tiny mussels in shells colder than the wine. By that time I had enough of this disastrous meal. I told the waiter about the cold non-existing mussels, the warm wine and the shriveled up vegetables of the Caprese. The waiter was unbelievably arrogant, asking me where I was from, and when he learned I was from Belgian, he smirked and concluded that I had no idea what the Italian kitchen was about, and treated us as if we were just another couple of ignorant tourists. A peace offering came in the form of one glass of white wine, assuming my wife was happy with the warm wine. I refused. The service was abysmal, and the food not worthy of the quality usually found here in Praiano. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking but that’s where it ends. We paid the full price just for eating a ball of mozzarella accompanied by an Aperol Spritz. We didn’t touch the warm wine and left the horrible main dish on the table I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone visiting Praiano!
