04/04/2024: Let's start with the environment which I found very beautiful and well-kept. I was in the entrance hall and both the mise en place and the furnishings immediately gave me a sense of comfort (a plus for the chairs) and warmth. The service was excellent, friendly and personable. I would like to point out that they have game dishes which, as we well know, are a rarity nowadays. As for the food, I'll let the photos and my 5 stars do the talking. Advised

No idea why it's listed as closed, seems bizarre. Thankfully we checked Google and called ahead of time to book and yes they are open and yes they are fabulous!

Menu with a huge choice, dishes at affordable prices for large quantities
Special mention for the spaghetti alla vongole + tomato mozzarella focaccia
Small terrace in the heart of the streets of Imperia, shaded and adorable waiters!

02/03/2024: I am writing here expressly for German readers: this restaurant has specialized in the preferences of holidaymakers (Germans, French, Dutch, etc.). Pasta is a main dish here, there are also the cream sauces popular in Germany, otherwise pizza. But: Even if it is touristy, the restaurant is absolutely correct. The food is okay, the prices are right, especially for a restaurant in this attractive location, and the service is nice.
So it's not so suitable for people who want to get to know something new, eat something fine or typically Ligurian. You just have to have the right expectations.

15/03/2024: Restaurant found by chance, as we would say at home, we saw the light and we entered. The boss explains the principle to us (we don't speak Italian...), a single menu for 50 euros... Ok, for us. What to say ? Pure happiness.. Some cod fritters to start, a carpaccio of sardines, eggplant and mint, anchovy mozzarella spaghetti and an extra dessert. All this with perfect service. The menu accompanied by a good white wine... The bill 100 euros! Many thanks and we will come back as often as possible.
14/10/2023: Very quaint restaurant. Massimo the owner knows how to make the customer feel at ease. Roberta, very nice and attentive to service. Excellent quality of fish

09/01/2024: Excellent food, good service, friendly waiters. My brothers-in-law were very happy, it was the first time, but we have been there several times and we have always been happy, when they reopen after the holidays we will go again. I highly recommend it

Excellent value for money, all delicious and fresh food (tasted even before taking the photo), excellent selection of wines. Friendly and trained staff. Absolutely recommended!
There is also very convenient parking nearby.
22/11/2023: Esco dall'ufficio e mi concedo una pausa pranzo in riva al mare. Tavolo per due al ristorante Altamarea, locale situato all'interno dello stabilimento balneare Spiaggia d'Oro in zona Borgo Marina.
Una bottiglia di acqua ed un calice di vino bianco, un Pigato dell'Azienda Agricola Laura Aschero - Pontedassio - (IM). Una piccola realtà a conduzione familiare che produce ottimi vini liguri.
Ed ora alcuni piatti da condividere. Un Polpo e patate ed un Crudo e Burrata. Un polpo e patate con più polpo che patate, cosa ormai rara. Crudo e burrata composto utilizzando materie prime di ottima qualità. Piatti buoni ed abbondanti.
Per finire una porzione di Mezze maniche con crema di zucchine e guanciale croccante ed una Frittura mista. Pasta decisamente goduriosa, crema delicata, ma poi ci pensa il guanciale a dare la spinta necessaria. Ottima. Frittura mista che comprende calamari, gamberi, gamberoni e verdura in pastella. Frittura leggera e croccante. Anche in questo caso più pesce che verdure. Molto bene.
Ci sta ancora un caffè e poi il conto. La spesa complessiva è pari a 65 euro. Poco più di trenta euro pro capite per un piacevolissimo break in riva al mare. Pausa estiva perfetta.
