23/01/2024: Mi fermo per caso in questo piccolo bar sul viale e scopro che è un posto magico! Il locale è piccolino ma curato in modo perfetto, da risultare estremamente accogliente. I prodotti per la colazione sono molto buoni, di ottima qualità e con una ampia scelta. Noto inoltre che il proprietario conosce a memoria i gusti di tutte le persone che entrano , cosa che fa sentire ancora di più un'atmosfera familiare (certo, probabilmente clienti abituali, ma su 6/7 persone entrate in una ventina di minuti...non è scontato ricordarsi di tutti!) Non da ultimo, il prezzo è super onesto (1,40 cappuccino e 1,40 brioche) e tutto viene correttamente scontrinato. Bellissimo posto, tornerò con grande piacere!

24/03/2024: A problem with my and Watson's gastronomic investigations is the scale of values ​​imposed by Google: for us a trattoria with correct proposals, with simple but genuine dishes and honest prices deserves 5 stars like a renowned restaurant in a 5 star hotel luxury of Stresa, but they are certainly not the same thing. Well, we need a reward system that takes into account these differences. Until then we will rate both Villa Crespi in Cannavacciuolo and Caccia Reale in Corso Risorgimento in Novara with 5 stars: a trattoria from times gone by, where the staff is at your service, but also becomes a friend to whom you can ask for advice, where at the table next to yours sits the entrepreneur from Brianza as well as the pensioner from the province and where you immediately exchange confidences that you would never dream of doing in a trendy restaurant in the center. Let's be clear though: the Royal Hunt is a tidy, clean, welcoming place, but simple both in terms of furnishings, as well as in the kitchen options as well as in the staff at the tables or in the owner. Here you will find the typical dishes of Novara and Piedmontese cuisine and in fact as a starter Watson and I had a mixed plate with duja salami, fidighina, donkey salami, various cold cuts and giardiniera. First of all, it was impossible not to order the Paniscia (but you could also choose the agnolotti del plin or the ravioli di magro). For the second course I continued with another typical dish from the Novara area: braised meat with polenta while Watson opted for a dish of veal with tuna sauce and potatoes. We concluded with 2 coffees while we dined with two bottles of Nebbiolo d'Alba 2021 from the Vignaioli di Treiso winery, all for around 50 euros each. With generous portions and wine at 20 euros per bottle it means spending 30 euros per person! So I think it's worth trying it then... judge for yourself!

22/03/2024: Really very good ice cream. Salted caramel and pistachio which I will definitely get again. The lady at the counter was kind and polite. A cup and a cone of two flavors each €7.10 in total. Clean place. I liked it 😉

Ottima accoglienza cordiale e simpatica, ho apprezzato i consigli per un’ulteriore pietanza aggiunta all’ultimo momento da me fuori prenotazione, ma preparata subito per non farmi attendere troppo. Che dire, BRAVISSIMI e ci tornerò sicuramente.

20/03/2024: I had the pleasure of dining at the "Fra Diavolo" pizzeria in Novara recently and I must say that the overall experience was extremely positive. The pizza I tasted was simply delicious. The base was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, while the fresh, wholesome ingredients gave an authentic flavor to every bite. The service was equally impressive, especially considering it was a Saturday night. Even though the place was crowded, the staff was efficient, courteous and attentive to our needs. We received our dishes quickly and without any problems, which helped make the experience very pleasant. The central location of the pizzeria is a big plus. Being in the heart of Novara adds a touch of liveliness and comfort to the meal. It is the perfect place for an informal dinner with friends or for a romantic evening as a couple. The only aspect that might raise some doubts is the bill. Although the quality of the pizza is unquestionable and could justify a higher price, some may find the bill a little high compared to expectations. However, I think the deliciousness of the pizza and the overall experience are still worth the cost.

07/04/2024: Very nice place, perhaps the room could be lit a little more as it was a little gloomy. We were here for breakfast, the girls were very kind and helpful, times were a little relaxed but that's fine, excellent cappuccino, good brioche (without infamy and without praise), but the price is really exaggerated, €10 for a cappuccino, a brioche and a juice of fruit. In other pastry shops I get two cappuccinos and two brioches for €5. However, for once it can happen. I don't think I will return.

02/03/2024: Good pastry shop, nothing to say. Elegant and comfortable environment. After years we decided to return a second time. And we remembered why we never came back. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we are not the only ones who have been victims of rude and inappropriate behavior from the staff. We were shocked, embarrassed and speechless.
