31/03/2024: The location is enchanting in this medieval village in the hinterland of Barcelona. View of the Cathedral square of Castroreale. The tradition-based menu features a delicious breaded soft-boiled egg starter on a base of ramps. Followed by a tasting of local cured meats and cheeses and delicious vegetables from caramelized onion to gratin cauliflower, from baked fennel to stewed chard. The first course was excellent with maccheroni castrensi with lamb sauce. And even baked lamb with fennel and a side dish of potatoes and carrots. To finish, colomba with Chantilly cream and strawberry sauce. The price is really competitive. The welcome and accompaniment of the dishes by a fabulous host Diego was excellent.

17/02/2024: Bright, tastefully decorated restaurant with delicious food and the friendliest staff. Everything was perfectly prepared and - just as important - served with a smile. I particularly enjoyed the grilled aubergine with cheese, finger lickin' good! If you ever find yourself in the lovely town of Castroreale, I warmly recommend you visit this place.
