Pane stellare e taglieri salumi e formaggi abbondate e di ottima qualità !
Interessante la vetrina dei dolci e delle paste per la colazione : da provare !
Se passate da san Gimignano fermatevi da questi ragazzi !!
Prezzo adatto anche a noi Pellegrini della Via Francigena !

03/09/2023: Beautiful place under the trees with a very good cook who also happens to be a singer. Very good bruschetta and meat. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the "hamburger with french fries" for 15€, as it is only a meat Pattie on some lettuce. No bun, no cheese, no onions, no tomatoes, just meat with fries. Would suggest renaming the dish Italian meat Pattie with french fries in order not to confuse the customer.
The service was friendly but not very attentive so you have to ask for everything and wait.

26/03/2024: Our day started well, but ended in disaster. When we walked in we had high expectations. Our expectations were confirmed by the delicious food. But then the great catastrophe…THE BILL. We went to the cash register to each take our turn to pay. And when they saw a few young people they thought this is our chance to earn something extra. We had to pay for 5 pastas while we only ordered and received 4. We wanted to clarify that we had only ordered 4, but they were not open to discussion (even though they could speak English) and were adamant that we had to pay for 5 pastas. After fifteen minutes of discussion we finally got our money back with an assertive attitude and rolling eyes. We thought this was a shame, because the food was delicious. As a result, we were torn from our Italian lifestyle of 'dolce vita'. This was a shame.
(WARNING: tourist trap & scammers!!!!)
22/01/2024: The square on which this modest bar overlooks is very beautiful, offering terrible coffee and a very poor assortment of rough and low-quality pastries.
Fairly spacious environment and acceptable sanitary facilities.
Friendly service and average prices.
Table service is charged.

30/12/2023: Di ritorno da un tour nell'entroterra senese, mi fermo a San Gimigano e decido di entrare in questo locale. E' un bel bistrot, con tavoli posti sia all'interno che allesterno del locale. I tavoli all'interno sono allestiti come un bistrot parigino con comodi divanetti. Si possono gustare ottimi prodotti. Io ho optato per un antipasto di bruschette con salciccia e lardo, davvero buone.
Locale in cui tornerei.
25/11/2023: We had lunch here while exploring San Gimignano. The pasta was very pleasant, and although the restaurant was full, service was quick. Only downside was it was really cold inside as both doors were kept open.

27/12/2023: Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante situato nella piazza di San Gimignano. Ci è stato consigliato da un signore del posto.. conosceva lo chef. Abbiamo preso un tortino al formaggio e un tagliere con ottimo pane fatto in casa. I bimbi hanno preso pici con cinta senese e chitarrina di carbonara e tartufo.. una squisitezza, per secondo una Fiorentina con verdure e patate.. ottima carne ottima cottura! Ci ritorneremo anche perché qualità prezzo giusto.Grazie al Signore che ha saputo consigliarci.
26/12/2023: Sono stato al ristorante hotel la cisterna con la mia ragazza prima delle vacanze natalizie, il ristorante ha un clima molto accogliente e familiare, il personale era accogliente e anche senza prenotazione sono riuscito ad accomodarmi senza aspettare troppo. Su consiglio dello chef ho ordinato una tartare di manzo per me e per la mia ragazza. Successivamente abbiamo ordinato due piatti tipici del luogo, pici al ragù di cinta cinese e tagliatelle al cinghiale. Essendo abbondanti i piatti abbiamo ordinato un filetto di manzo fritto in due accompagnato con un ottimo vino della casa. Infine abbiamo preso due dolci, il tiramisù e la panna cotta, i dolci erano molto buoni, tuttavia i primi piatti erano davvero eccezionali. Siamo riusciti a salutare lo chef Pannullo alla fine della cena ed è stato cordiale e molto professionale. Da tornarci assolutamente!!

22/03/2024: Unpleasant service, the lady kept shouting for whoever was managing her daughter.
Gnocchi overcooked and flavorless,
frozen pizza and not even cooked well
(even my grandmother could do it better).
Waiting time too long (I could have walked all over San Gimignano 3 times and when I came back they still wouldn't have taken our order)
The only good thing was the wine.
The receipt is optional.
If it were up to me I would have gone to the coop and eaten better.
ps.IN THE VEGETARIAN SANDWICH I SAW THE HAM AS I AM SHORT-SIGHTED.

06/04/2024: We asked to sit outside for a glass of wine since 7 other people were sitting having an aperitif. The waitress replied that "this is a restaurant, here you eat or nothing". Rude girl and anything but prepared, so of course your tables remain empty.
22/03/2024: At first glance, the restaurant is nice and the service seems comfortable. We ordered pizza and pasta, the pizza was delivered within 5 minutes. The dough was pale, hard, tasteless, the pizza was supposed to have 4 types of cheese with pungent salami, but there were only 2 cheeses on the pizza. In short, I would describe the pizza as a failed Langoša for €15. Communication with the staff was almost impossible, the staff's English was very poor and there were only faint hints of French. The pasta was swimming in the sauce that is used for pizza, later we found the same stuffed pasta in a coop store for €1.69, but in the restaurant they sold it for €12.

26/10/2023: It was a great experience to spend the day in the fattoria San Donato, wonderful food, friendly people, fantástic farm, right next to San Gimignano, just 10 minutos away, don't miss it if you come to San Gimignano.

E strano a dirsi, non funzionava il bancomat, solo contanti
