Came in to find out the kitchen was closed, but just as we went to leave a huge rain storm blew in. A man served us some beers (I believe may have been the owner/manager) was very hospitable and went out of his way to make us a pizza while we waited for the storm to pass. Thank you again!

Cafe Bistro Fortezza Franzensfeste

06/04/2024: We were on the way home from Italy to take a break in Franzenfeste. And very enthusiastic about the food in the bistro. Great quality e.g. well-seasoned handmade fries and nuggets and delicious fresh bowls, plus very nice service.
02/12/2023: We attended a cooking class "ban Franzl" and had an entertaining and educational evening. Chef and restaurant owner "Manni" shared his expertise with us in a very friendly and warm way and showed us new perspectives on cooking. Conclusion: This restaurant cooks with great experience, a lot of professional competence and great attention to detail, the staff is very friendly and the ambience is unique and therefore definitely worth a visit. We had an unforgettable evening and will definitely come back.

09/10/2023: So geht stilvoll Essen in Meran! Das Ambiente im alten Gemäuer wundervoll, geschmackvoll modernisiert und auf neuestem Stand. Die Küche hervorragend und auf sehr hohem Niveau. Der Service durchgehend aufmerksam und sehr kompetent. Wir wurden richtggehend verwöhnt und werden auf jeden Fall bei unserem nächsten Meran Besuch wiederkommen!
30/07/2023: Mit unserer Familie haben wir auf Empfehlung unseres Hotels hier zu abend gegessen und waren rundum zufrieden. Die Terrasse im ersten Stock bietet einerseits einen Blick auf das Treiben derAltstadt und die Umgebung, ist andererseits ein Rückzugsort für ein gepflegtes Familienessen. Die Qualität der Gerichte ist ausgezeichnet inklusive der “Standards” wie Caprese. Sehr nette Service, gehobenes aber angemessenes Preisniveau.
