For those who love peace and tranquility, Casal Dragone is ideal. The place is excellent, home cooking as well as the pleasure of a good glass of wine and the owners are fantastic people and finally the visit to the crypt of original sin cannot be found better in this corner of Basilicata.

Wonderful experience. It is a farm a few minutes drive from Matera, which has been producing wine, wheat, oil and legumes for generations. The products are excellent. There are 4 rooms available for guests, spacious and furnished in a simple but very beautiful way. The hospitality is exceptional, we really felt welcomed and chatting with Carmela was very pleasant. And then, where else do you get breakfast with burrata, capocollo, fresh ricotta, freshly made cakes, freshly baked croissants?

A fantastic place to stay overnight, you can buy local products, the owner is very friendly, everything is closed at the moment. No supply or disposal. Sunrise and sunset.

Abbiamo soggiornato nelle camere della struttura che sono provviste di ogni comfort, pulite, comode ,spaziose e ben riscaldate. Poco distante da Matera ma a pochi metri dalla Grotta del peccato originale. La signora Carmela è stata una padrona di casa gentilissima, che ci ha accolto e coccolato in ogni momento. Colazione super . Consigliatissimo.

06/04/2024: We celebrated Easter in this very bright restaurant! The service 🔝, the hospitality and the menu exceeded our expectations! Above all, I was surprised to find this level in such a small municipality! The artichoke risotto "forced" almost everyone to repeat it! 😂
06/04/2024: I recommend the place if you are looking for an experiential journey: you will not find the dishes from an "Italian menu" with generous and classic portions, but each product offered is the result of a search for combinations that in my opinion are particular and refined. Surely when you eat out you look for the quality of the food but the eye also wants its part: the atmosphere of the brand new and very welcoming place, the dishes and the kindness of the staff complete everything. I entered this place set up for a birthday for the first time and, after returning several times, I chose it to celebrate mine! Excellent pizza even for me who have problems with yeast. Last but not least, affectionate and extremely helpful owners.

06/04/2024: Funny how we are attracted to movement. Walking along the way, but hungry, we looked and saw a different place. Open kitchen, preparations on display and lots of joy. Ready. Come in and enjoy typical and delicious food. It was worth a lot.
24/03/2024: Interesting place, we stopped by chance since it was the first time in Matera, a wonderful discovery, quality raw materials and typical products served (albeit simple dishes) masterfully!! Friendly staff, average value for the place!!
