Excellent value for money for the La nonna Maria delle Scagliozze! I enjoyed a delicious fried polenta, a true Italian specialty. I give it a 4/5!

Come by in the morning and you will see Donna Maria preparing polenta. From 5.30pm onwards for €2 you can get 10 freshly fried sgaiozze. Picturesque place in old Bari

Consigliatissimo per un pranzo informale e caratteristico. Il personale simpatico,gentilissimo ed efficiente . Il menù consisteva in piccoli assaggi di cucina tipica barese, più un piatto di orecchiette,bevande comprese il tutto a 18 euro. Tutto buonissimo e servito in un tempismo perfetto,nonostante fosse molto affollato...L'impressione è quella di essere stati invitati a casa di amici.Sicuramente ci tornerò.

Their main attraction is the fried polenta, which is nice as a novelty snack, however we found other locations that made it better. The location is rather annoying, because you'll be waiting in line in a small and crowded alley, so best have some patience with you as well.

Sgagliozze were delicious and gluten free. I was told by staff that there is no flour and they are cooked in separate oil to the popizze which was great as a coeliac!

Not worth the hype. They were greasy and the salt was unevenly distributed. Also, what should I do with 10 pieces? Why not offer 1 or 2 for an increased price. I would have gladly paid 1€ for 2 pieces to try. But 10?

Super authentic experience as it is just 2 doors opening up at 17.30. Then they put up a frying stall outside and a queue quickly forms. Sort of a must try when you are in Bari. And with €2 for 10 pieces you have enough for 2 people to be full for the next 2 hours.

13/11/2023: Cena in pizzeria, antipati alcuni buoni altri sufficienti. quello che condivido e il fatto di far pagare gli antipasti a portate senza offire una carrellata. questo fa salire molto il prezzo anche perchè quando si è in molti, si paga a portata ma i piatti arrivano condivisi, pagare ad esempio abbastanza per due piattini di rape stufate mi sembra un 'esagerazione. diciamo che il rapporto qualità prezzo è un po' basso, per il l resto tutto ok. peronale gentile, serizio curato e celere.
07/11/2023: Posto molto bello, nella piazza principale di Giovinazzo. Pietre faccia vista accolgono il cliente. Serie di antipasti locali, molto buona, una pizza in 3, due birre e due coca cole, insieme a due tiramisù 90 euro. A mio parere il prezzo è stato esagerato rispetto alle quantità, anche se il locale merita.

07/04/2024: Booked through the fork, a platform where they offer a 20% discount on food. We had ordered pizza for the children and assassin for us parents, they immediately warned us of about a 40 minute wait for the assassin. At this point we also added an appetizer and therefore had lunch practically without waiting. Really good food, thin, killer pizza, not very spicy which is therefore good for all palates.
01/04/2024: Very friendly staff, fast, the pizza was a little too thin, thinner than a piadina, but the ingredients were excellent
