18/09/2023: Dinner on a Saturday in September in a Lombardi restaurant-pizzeria. We should be in a seaside area, we should experience the typical Calabrian hospitality and appreciate good food, but in reality there is very little of all this. The place is close to the hill and you can't see the sea. There is a covered porch overlooking the open countryside and this lets us understand that there will be no problems bringing the dog (a miniature schnauzer very used to frequenting public places), but we must immediately change our minds: the waitress makes us understand that if there's the dog, then there's no room for us. We would like to leave immediately but we are with other people and we decide, given the possibility, to quickly bring the dog home. So bad hospitality. Having solved the problem of the dog, we try to face the evening but immediately have to come up against another huge problem of this place: ordering. Or rather, the impossibility of proceeding with the order in a short time. A single waitress takes orders with a tablet (evidently providing more than one was impossible) and this creates a very annoying bottleneck. At a certain point a gentleman asks to make a reservation to order... Imagine how they are doing... The menu includes pizzas and restaurant dishes, but when the food arrives there is no reason to rejoice. Probably decent ingredients, but the level of preparation is really basic. Prices in line for the pizzeria but perhaps high for the restaurant. If we were faced with the improvised restaurateurs of which the Tyrrhenian coast is often full, we could understand the reason for these errors/horrors, but we are faced with restaurateurs who have been working in the area for years. Go figure out how...

17/09/2023: Cena in un sabato di settembre in un ristorante-pizzeria di Longobardi. Siamo in una zona di mare ma in realtà il locale è prossimo alla collina e il mare non si vede. C'è però da dire che è ad un minuto dalla superstrada e quindi facilmente raggiungibile. Partiamo dalle note positive: a differenza di altri presunti ristoratori della zona che , si improvvisano tali per giugno, luglio e agosto e poi spariscono, qui siamo di fronte a ristoratori veri che presidiano da anni il territorio. Altra nota positiva è sicuramente il menu largo che va dalla pizzeria al ristorante con cibi a base di pesce. I prezzi della pizzeria sono mediamente in linea con altri visti in giro , quelli del ristorante forse un pò più alti. La pizza è di quelle tipiche in Calabria che fondano la loro bontà sugli ingredienti genuini. Sul menu ristorante, rimane il concetto di ingredienti genuini ma non aspettatevi grandi preparazioni. Passiamo alle note non positive: il servizio è strutturalmente in difficoltà. Un'unica cameriera prende le ordinazioni e questo crea un collo di bottiglia fastidiosissimo. Altra dolente nota riguarda il divieto di accesso per cani. Legittimo per la sala al chiuso, forse corretto per cani grandi , ma assolutamente insensato per cani di piccola taglia e tavolo che sta sotto un pergolato aperto ad un millimetro dalla campagna e quindi dalla libera circolazione di altri animali randagi. Se fossimo di fronte ai ristoratori improvvisati di cui parlavo all'inizio, sorvolerei su questi aspetti, ma per ristoratori professionisti queste sono lacune importanti. E per i clienti sono disagi significativi che costringono o ad attendere tempi lunghi (problema servizio) o a fare dietrofront per via del cane.

23/09/2023: Sunday 3 September, evening in this Pezzeria Restaurant with the family. Beautiful place on top of the Longobardi hill, we saw a fabulous sunset, at first it was just us, then it filled up, there was also a 40th birthday celebration. We were 5 people, appetizers with OWN PRODUCTION cold cuts and cured meats: Excellent. 5 assorted pizzas 2 Nastro Azzurro beers of 66 Cl. Light and good pizza. Price €50.00 coffee and bitters offered.

27/08/2023: The food is good, little choice on the menu, many things are not there such as drinks, terrible service, long waits, never again in my life
